Energy has been low so instead of writing new things, I managed to convert a handful of old articles for Hesli. Which reminds me... I need to see if I can build a thing that shows the 5 most recent articles... Anyway, feel free to have a look and let me know what you think! hesli.shadowphoenix.nl

For a long time, the peoples of Hesli have lived in relative peace. However, it seems like grander problems are arising at the horizon. A set of prying, watchful eyes can be felt in the back of the he...

The engine is still in a very early alpha phase, but feel free to try it out and leave feedback. I work on it when time and brain permits. As for Hesli, I'll keep converting articles and uploading them over time while also writing some new content to expand the world further.

The second project is slightly hidden inside the new website! Because I'm way too lazy to write raw html that's unreadable. So, I made a little tool using 11ty that's more tailored towards worldbuilding that I used to generate the website. Meet The Tavern Rumours Engine! github.com/Tavern-Rumou...

Over the past few months, I've been working on two projects for Hesli so I can host it on my website! One project is converting all my articles which.. is a task, as there are many. But.. the website is live now with the first few (important) articles! hesli.shadowphoenix.nl

It’s been a while but the creative writing is finally getting some traction again! Interviewed two of my subspecies last night 😊 Still have some work to do to get all the basics written but.. might be able to share something cool for my world building project, Hesli!

TJ is such a great guy to commission. He listens - even when you ramble absolute nonsense like I do - and turns the wildest ideas into reality!

Heyoo I'm TJ, a trans guy from the UK living in Buenos Aires! 🧉 I celebrate the parts of my childhood that shaped who I am today. 🥰 I work with game devs to create worlds that help us discover our true selves. Let's work together! ✉ hello@tjtrewin.com #TransDayOfVisibility #PixelArt #IndieGameDev

1-bit pixel art in desaturated lime green and dark brown, inspired by The Legend of Zelda gameboy style. I created individual tiles based on a prompt list for the Septembit 2025 challenge by Saultoons and used them to create a game mockup.

Details include: Link's character sprite, a great fairy fountain, a whispering stone, minecart and tracks, a tower with a big rupee, and various shop buildings.

Pixel art body shape studies using a limited 5 colour palette. Four different body types are shown in masculine and feminine form, with a central skeleton. They are about 16 by 48 pixels in size.

Trim Jim (slender), Gym Jim (very muscular), Slim Jim (underweight), Chin Jim (overweight), and Grim Jim (skeleton)

Promotional image for Knightwood fantasy pixel font. More than 250 languages supported, 16px tall, and includes bonus glyphs (examples shown are the decorative border, dungeon chains, and pixel art sword - they are all made using box-drawing characters within the font)!

Promotional image for pixel paper scrolls & ribbons tileset with a preview in the background of different paper edges, corners, rolled parts, flowing parts, holes, snags, folds, and torn paper.

In the foreground, an example sneak peek is shown in context for making a fantasy pixel art map.

Greetings friends and fair folk of Bluesky! I've been quietly working away on something for the lovely @gothhoblin.me and her birthday jam on itch, something which I am very much enjoying and can't wait to share with you all! For now, here's a sneaky work in progress post for the front cover 👀

A drawing of a cottage and some of its garden on a textured piece of paper, with the title "Work in Progress" and a yellow wax seal stamped with an AP.
