Unfortunately no new session of The Secrets of the Sands of Zalkaresh again tonight. I'm fighting through a head cold and not up to the challenges of being a suitable DM.

I hate being sick. This sore throat is brutal. Intermittent shallow cough, minor sinus pressure/congestion, the shakes. I hope this doesn't linger and passes quickly.

And it had a new anime-style opening with a song done by Kamelot, which had me in real mixed opinions about it. Anyway, the me in the dream was FREAKING OUT about it. ... I wanna go back to that dream world.

I just woke up from a dream where Gargoyles had been revived. Not rebooted, not remade -- revived. Brand new episodes picking up as a new season three, eschewing that mess that was The Goliath Chronicles.

Unfortunately the session of the Dungeon of the Mad Mage campaign as part of Community D&D on ArvanEleron @gregoryawilson.com's channel tonight is cancelled due to player illness. I will update if/when I have further scheduling updates.

Unfortunately no new session of The Secrets of the Sands of Zalkaresh tonight. At least about half the group, including yours truly, were all mentioning being tired or feeling kinda crummy, so we decided to cancel. We will return in two weeks!

Sorry to any folks who like to tune into the Community D&D with the ShadowCrew on @gregoryawilson.com ArvanEleron's Twitch channel as tonight's session is cancelled due to yours truly being under the weather. We should be back in two weeks for our next regularly scheduled game.

I should have been clearer about that ShadowCrew EX is the EXpanded group. That's my bad.

Normally tonight would have been more of "The Secrets of the Sands of Zalkaresh" for D&D my Twitch channel, however we're cancelling due to player unavailability (illness). I will have further updates on Zalkaresh and other D&D scheduling soon!

And it doesn't even have to be downloaded to my phone!

ShadowedMage (Joe) @shadowedmage.com · 27/04/2026

But also! I found that what all this music actually being in my account means is that I can actually just go over to the Library section of YouTube Music, filter by "Uploaded" and I can access stuff that is missing from the platform that I used to have. Like certain rare metal albums!

ShadowedMage (Joe) @shadowedmage.com · 27/04/2026

It seemed to be at random what things were missing metadata. Like, I saw some cases where half the tracks of an album would be properly tagged, and the other half were just completely missing any tags whatsoever.

ShadowedMage (Joe) @shadowedmage.com · 27/04/2026

Which at first seemed to largely work... except that about 7k files out of total 17.3k files were completely missing metadata... Ugh.

I downloaded the data using the Google Takeout feature, all 177GB of it. After downloading it all and unzipping it, I threw the entire folder into foobar2000 and told it to reorganize it via something like "Album Artist\Album\[Disc].TrackNumber - Title" ...

ShadowedMage (Joe) @shadowedmage.com · 27/04/2026

I discovered that Google actually still had my entire music collection stored in my account data from when Google Play Music had been a thing before it transitioned over to YouTube Music. I thought I had lost my entire digital music collection when my desktop computer died a few years ago.
