Been in Toulouse for almost 2 days so far. Seen thousands and thousands of people cycling, yet only 27 people with plastic cycling hats on. Just shows that when you prioritise people over cars everyone is much safer.

If we're not dodging cars parked with all 4 wheels on the pavements, we're walking around bins parked with both wheels on the pavements, standing 5 abreast. What person thought this was acceptable? There's loads of room on the right to line them up, but they thought it was fine like this.

This is probably going to come as a surprise to this driver. Despite me being 6'2, and carrying a bit of holiday weight, she still didn't have a clue that I was stood right next to her car, even as she sped off before checking it was safe to do so.

Tell me again about why cyclists should be forced to use "cycle lanes". 16 cars parked in a very short stretch of cycle lane. A cycle lane that was installed to encourage the local kids to bike to the nearby schools. All but 1 of those cars parked outside a driveway with space for them.

I learned today that a guy in the office spends at least 35 minutes a day commuting to work by car. He lives 1.8 miles from the office, and could walk it quicker, even on a good traffic day. He even said one of the girls from the other offices beats him home and she's on foot! 🤦

This is going to take some getting used to, after driving a now 28 year old diesel van for the last 12+ years. Just need to figure out my commuting routine, incorporating getting all my clothes to work for the week and charging the car and fetching the shopping on Fridays 🤔

According to West Yorkshire Police this is a perfectly acceptable standard of driving fromm the driver / owner of this Ford Ecosport (reg: YG64 MTY). The Grey Honda wasn't much better either.

Getting more and more despondent with Operation Snap and West Yorkshire Police. 3 dangerously close passes last week, where I could have easily reached out and touched the vehicle, and they've said they're perfectly fine. Despite me providing video footage, screenshots, measurements, etc.
