Your Portola plan starts before the first set. Plan your ride there and home: the festival has no parking. Bring your valid government-issued photo ID; Portola is 21+. Pack an empty refillable water bottle (64 oz or smaller), and check the festival’s current bag and entry rules before leaving.

Did you know earthquakes can cause tsunamis with little warning? Know the signs of a near-source tsunami: strong shaking for 20 seconds or more making it difficult to stand/walk, a loud ocean roar that sounds different from normal waves, and water quickly receding from shore, exposing the seafloor.

This year during #emsweek26 we recognize the people behind the patch and commit a collective responsibility to invest in their mental health and personal growth. Every year our #SF911 dispatchers set up an EMS Week Open House for our EMS partners to stop by de-stress and grab a snack.
A festive EMS Week appreciation station inside an emergency operations center features a blue-and-white balloon arch framing a “Happy EMS Week” sign. Long tables are filled with snacks, drinks, fruit, and grab-and-go treats for EMS personnel. Dispatch workstations and monitors surround the setup, highlighting a workplace celebration honoring emergency medical staff. Two EMS professionals in uniform stand smiling inside a dispatch operations center during EMS Week. Computer monitors and emergency communications equipment are visible in the background, creating a warm behind-the-scenes look at first responders being celebrated.
