I took Momo to an urgent care vet today. He got an antibiotic injection. Huzzah! I figured 1 injection is easier than my giving him that yellow liquid antibiotic for days. The fuzzy purple blanket is from my car. And I saw a SAINT BERNARD! 😻😻😻 #cats #CatsofBluesky #CatSky

One time years ago, I hiked in Forest Park, Portland, Oregon, weirdly early, like 5 am. I saw some eldritch sunlight & captured it in photos, including this one. I was usually there in late morning/afternoon. #eldritch #SpookySeason #PDX #Portland #Oregon #ForestPark #PortlandOregon

A wonky, broken tree that looks like Tim Burton designed it, in the woods, with ferns in front and many tall trees in the background. The sky is gray and the sunlight soft and eerie.

It's a chilly morning, even though the high is supposed to be 77 degrees. For a moment, I had 3 black cats on top of me. Vita stood mewing, & Haedrig left... so she lay down in his place. Did she bully him with her cute little squeaks? Yup. #blackcats #cats #CatsofBluesky #CatSky

I recently heard on a podcast (maybe True Hauntings) that Heinrich Himmler lived in that house after the family left. During filming, people sensed creepy vibes. #TheSoundofMusic #HeinrichHimmler #Austria #Salzburg #Nazis #VanTrappFamilySingers #spooky

The gazebo behind the pond, as seen in the musical film The Sound of Music

This is behind the house where the real van Trapp family singers lived.

Another view of the villa, on the other side of the pond. We were in the back yard & didn't go to the house.

1/2 Here's the villa where the van Trapp family lived before they left Austria. Not a great photo, I took it in 1988. We were at the gazebo used in the "I am Sixteen..." song in The Sound of Music. Heinrich Himmler moved in. #TheSoundofMusic #HeinrichHimmler #Austria #Salzburg-Nazis #spooky

A faded old photo taken in Salzburg, Austria
There's a pond in the foreground, & on the other side of the lake is the elegant villa where the van Trapp family (The Sound of Music) lived until they escaped Nazi-occupied Austria.
We visited places that are in the film. We didn't get any closer to the villa & some of my fellow travelers danced in the gazebo. The pond is between the house & the gazebo.
