I arrived to #WHA conf in #Incheon. Feeling empowered my paper is ready as I began this new story in Oct. How the USSR didn't join #FAO in the 1960s. I make a stretch to Comintern years and Moscow Agrarian Institute of the1930s - competitor of the predicessor of FAO in Rome, and anti-imp struggle.

Ten years I has passed and I finally paid off my student loan for my MA program in Canada. Back then, I know it I looked odd, an immigrant doing a Master's in History. I had a yearly income debt after and no definite promise it would workout. Merci au programme #pretsetbourses Québec!

Last week I made an academic visit to Middle East Technical University in North Cyprus. Thanks to an invitation from professor Defne Gonenc. I gave an intro lecture to BA students on Russian history. The campus is in a rural area on a hill with views to mountains and the sea. Just a gorgeous place!

What if in the universe of Indian scholars there is an archive of Indo-Soviet Cultural Society news bulletin. I've seen only little pieces of it... BUT good ones!

My review of a book by Liliane Stadler. The book is especially relevant today, as Switzerland maybe losing its neutrality (?), or can no longer afford it, while surrounded by a unified EU. www.connections.clio-online.net/publicationr...

A little report on my first digitization project. So I completed making pictures of each page of the archive for Ukrainian Red Cross Abroad, 1939-45. You see it all in the box. It took me six working days. Now the new step - text recognition and playing with AI tools for research output.

Interesting fact, in 1956 ministers of health care (and in charge or heads of national Red Crosses) in the USSR, India, and China were women. Maria Kovrigina, Amrit Kaur, and Li Dequan. And active in international women's federation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Dequan
