The only way that my cleric with an 8 INT could make this Arcana check was with a Nat20. #Aurendor #DnD

Actually, I lied. It lasted exactly nine years, because I looked it up? And I literally bought it nine years ago today.

Well, this was my daily tarot and rune draw this morning, so I'm very much hoping that's a good sign.

I see we're at the point in the night where we're about to have midair combat. Above an abandoned giant fortress and under a rift to another plane made of pure elemental chaos. This is fine. Nothing bad could possibly happen. #Titansfall #DnD

Why on earth are they asking Siân about religion? She's a cleric of an entity that she knows absolutely nothing about who, in any other game, would probably be a warlock instead of a cleric. #Aurendor #DnD

If I go to dw_maintenance, though, I can still see the post. It's there. It definitely hasn't been deleted. I can't actually read any of the comments on it at this point, though, because I'm getting the generic "oops, everything's broken" message.

A screenshot from Dreamwidth saying:

Oops!

If you've gotten this error, it means that something is currently (and, with luck, temporarily) broken. Please wait five minutes and try again.

If the problem persists after five minutes, please check our offsite status page to see if we're aware of the problem. If we haven't updated it, check to see if it's just a problem for you. If it isn't, don't worry -- we'll fix it as soon as we can!

The weird issues happening over on Dreamwidth are getting worse. I commented on the most recent dw_maintenance post shortly after the issues started happening, providing some details, and a couple of people replied to my comments. The post is 100% still up, but this is what I see in my inbox.

My parents sent me some country ham from Tennessee, and I wasn't certain how I was going to cook it as it smokes a ridiculous amount on the stovetop and in the oven. But I tried throwing a few slices in the air fryer for 15 minutes, and it turned out *perfect* with basically no smoke.

That last half hour or so before my first paycheck of the month direct deposits is almost always very painful. It should be in there by 1:30am, though. (All of my beginning-of-the-month bills finished processing today, hence my balance dropping to a ridiculously low point even for me.)

Taria just went through a giant list of things that have happened to my character over the past two weeks or so in-game, and she still forgot a number of things. Poor Siân has *really* had some bad luck lately. #Aurendor #DnD

- woken up from being held captive by mind-controlling plants for a week
- found herself in a prison camp in the middle of a warzone
- watched a friend die while trying to escape said prison camp
- failed to resurrect said friend
- watched the resurrection fail again when someone else attempted a higher level spell
- found out that her family has been accused of treason and placed under arrest
- saw the instant destruction of an entire town via a weapon of mass destruction
- watched the friend who died come back to life separate from his still-dead corpse
- given up the very last gift her deceased mother ever gave her
- had a bunch of ancient knowledge magically dumped in her head
- had her right arm chopped off
- found out that her father named her his legitimate daughter due to obvious coercion
- had her right arm unexpected regrown by way of alchemy
- almost been killed by malfunctioning golems
- almost watched her entire group be killed by a shadowspawn beholder
- been publicly seen with magic users in an empire where magic is illegal
- been involved in a very bloody battle
- joined a pirate fleet
- found out that the empire-wide newspaper has been smearing her name
- almost been killed by assassins
- found out an assassins' guild with a reputation for never quitting has been hired to kill her
- been involved in another very bloody battle
- found out that she's one of the most wanted people in the entire empire
- almost been killed by lightning
- almost drowned
- died instantly from a magical trap while in a shadow plane surrounded by enemies
- had a minor breakdown without anyone noticing something was wrong
- almost died because of a steam golem
- watch a magical "video" of her mother's very traumatic murder
- received confirmation that her mother was actually murdered
- watched her on-and-off ex(ish)-girlfriend choose to use a Wish spell to rewrite her history and abandon the group with no warning or chance to say "goodbye"

In December 2022, I received the following email:

A screenshot of an email stating the following:

"Happy Holidays from NCP. We hope this note finds you well as we get ready to start a new year.

It's been a few months since we last touched base and we wanted to give you a quick update.

As we previously discussed, NCP is still very much committed to ensuring all our panel members feel valued, represented and seen.

We are targeting the end of first quarter of 2023 to implement some of the changes we had previously discussed, including removing the Salutations field from the "My Account" section of the panel member site.

We are also continuing dialogs with both our parent companies to ensure proper representation for all through other facets of panel membership.

We will reach out again sometime in the early New Year. In the meantime, all the best to you for the Holidays."

Seriously, though, look at the shiny new TV that I now get to watch things on! They already replaced the PTAC earlier this year, so I have great heat and AC, and they gave me a head's up that I should be getting a new microwave by the end of the year if I'm still here (which seems very likely).

My gnome sorcerer/bard was very busy doing important things tonight. In related news, I love the poly mod. Also? It works surprisingly well when combining these two romances specifically. Karlach and Wyll's relationship makes it very much come across as two Vs working towards a triad. #BaldursGate3
