Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 3hhave they ever done a Batman: Black and White, but for Green Lantern? that would be really confusing 110
Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 3hWillworld is probably the single best GL story ever, if only because Seth Fisher was such a master. But JM DeMatteis is a master too. it really is underrated. It should be propped up as the All Star Superman or TDKR of Green Lantern 010

Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 6hone of the problems with the comic industry is that you sort of can’t just be a comic book creator…you also have to be a businessperson. and the reality is that most of us did not train or study for that. people who sign up to write/draw usually don’t go to business schools. 290
Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 6hit’s kind of interesting, some of my favorite GL moments are probably during Morrison’s JLA run. Like I think this moment is one of the best GL images ever (from Earth 2, Quitely). I also like in WWIII, Rayner has another really cool character moment where he outwills Mageddom 010
Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 6hhot take: I feel like the Big Two should both have at least one series which has no set creative team, and is instead a relatively unknown writer/artist/colorist pair up doing a self contained, single issue story, with a new team every issue. 030
Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 6hnot really a run, but Green Lantern: Willworld (by Seth Fisher and JM DeMatteis) is one of my favorites, up there as one of my favorite comics of all time. I also read Kyle Rayner’s run (pre-rebirth) month to month at the time, I forget who was writing/drawing though (probably a rotation) 110

Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 9hI’m seeing as a criticism of Lanterns, “if Hal is arrested, why doesn’t Superman get arrested for his super-battles?” in the 2025 movie, he literally was arrested, and beyond that, sent to the comic book equivalent of a black site where prisoners are held indefinitely without trial. 192

Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 06/10/2026hot take: there should be a law against movie theaters preventing you from bringing water into theaters. Seth Jacob @sethjacob.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I feel like people think a lot of argument about a TV show online means it’s bad, but the reality is that in today’s engagement driven world, that’s exactly what a TV show is designed to do. the show WANTS you to argue about it, not just sit there passively like “oh yeah that makes sense” 020
