The original pilot to The Muppet Show has been found! Among other things such as Fozzie’s voice (lampshaded in the televised version by having him claim he’s imitating John Wayne), the major problem is that the theme song was too damn long.

AI is profoundly unpopular. A recent NBC News poll found that among 18-34 year-olds, AI's net favorability rating is -44. *Negative 44*. Those are basically serial killer numbers. It's not much better among women 18-49. (Men over 50 and upper class are the only ones who like AI, and just barely.)

Hey, fellow comics creators! In my opinion, Elon Musk's X is monumentally bad for all of us and the whole world.

NO COMICS ON X

Please consider never posting on that site again.

I know, Instagram is also bad, but not AS bad. And we gotta start somewhere!

I'm on Bluesky, which isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better. I'll boost you there if you're a mutual. Lemme know!

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 119/365. Speedy Gonzales. The last of the major #LooneyTunes stars still in use today. Created by Robert McKimson but largely reworked by Friz Freleng. Next to Tweety, he’s Sylvester’s best foil. Oscar winner and a favorite to the Hispanic-American fans.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 118/365. Taz. Only appearing in 5 classic shorts, the Tasmanian Devil later became a very popular #LooneyTunes character who even got his own show. You can honestly thank Jack Warner for bringing back from being shelved after his debut.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 117/365. Granny, aka Emma Webster. One of the long-standing fan favorite female characters on the #LooneyTunes roster. Also a signature role for June Foray. A loyal companion to Tweety, Hector and Sylvester. Her role expanded to Dean and WWII hero too.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 116/365 One of the best chase duos in cartoons created by Chuck Jones, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote are a masterclass in pantomime acting and comedic timing. It is all thanks to Coyote's endless efforts of catching all ending in failure for his use of ACME products.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 115/365 Marvin the Martian. Created by Chuck Jones, he is a soft-spoken martian with some Earth-shattering ambitions. Moving beyond being Bugs Bunny foil and having roles in other projects like Duck Dodgers really establish Marvin as a favorite #LooneyTunes star.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 114/365 Foghorn Leghorn. By far, one of Robert McKimson's best characters. This big-mouthed rooster is quiet mischievous and overconfident giving some very unusual punchlines and comparisons with a Southern draw. He also is backed up by barnyard companions.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 113/365 Yosemite Sam. Another famous creation of Friz Freleng. As a gunslinging outlaw or in several different hats, he carries an a very high temper. Freleng created him as a legitimate threat to Bugs Bunny. Also a difficult voice for Mel Blanc to perform.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 112/365 Pepé Le Pew. As a sparking contrast to the fast-paced slapstick characters, Chuck Jones' French skunk provides his own scented charm while his obliviousness sets him back in humiliation. He won an Oscar in 1950 proving Eddie Selzer wrong that skunks are funny.

#America250 through WB-MGM-HB. 111/365 Tweety. Originally created by Bob Clampett but spent most of his career with Friz Freleng, his marketability and on-screen presence with Sylvester makes him one of the most popular #LooneyTunes globally next to Bugs Bunny. He's even a favorite in Japan.

I wouldn't call Wizard of Oz a reevaluated flop, it was a pretty big box office success that was nominated for five Academy Awards and won three of those. It was just expensive to make and Hollywood in those days used creative accounting where under representing profit was in their interest.
