I’ve been wanting to play Jeanne d’Arc ever since the dudes on @intothecast.bsky.social talked about it in their PSP episode, well I got my Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini last weekend, so what a perfect way to break it in! #retrohandhelds #psp #playstationportable

A photo of a handheld video game console, horizontal layout (buttons on left and right of screen as opposed to below) - the console is grey with black sticks and D-Pad, an magenta ABXY buttons, the “retro theme”

On screen is an isometric pixelated turn based tactics game, “Jeanne d’Arc”. The characters are standing on a green field with a windmill present, facing down against a team of orcs and evil elves, with weapons drawn.

The HUD for a character, Jeanne, is on screen in the bottom left, showing her health, magic and other stats.

The console is resting on a green fabric like a cushion for a sofa

More #mother3 thoughts Finished chapter 2 last night, I have NO idea what’s going on (I mean, I know what’s going on, but I have NO idea what’s next)

A screen shot from the video game Mother 3, which is a pixel art game.
It shows 2 characters, a man in a blue shirt and red pants, facing the camera, and an older man in brown facing away, looking back over his shoulder
They are in a stone chamber, in front of a face on the wall that looks as if it can open. On either side of the face are symbols that appear to demonstrate some sort of dance

Seth @seth.bet · 15/11/2025

I’m playing this on my Miyoo Flip v2 and my Trimui Brick (sharing saves via Sync Thing on my PC) Ignore that the photo shows Earthbound vs Mother 3 😂

A photo of two handheld video game consoles, a smaller vertical handheld in purple on the left and on the right, a hinged grey console on the right.

The left console has footage from the game Earthbound on the screen, a pixel art style image, the four main characters are walking down a palm tree lined street.

The right shows a list of games and the box art for “Earthbound”

Thread for my (first time) #Mother3 playthrough I’ll probably be spoiler free (I’m going to try)

A purple handheld video game console help in the palm of a hand. The screen shows the game “Mother 3”, two characters walk in a canyon

Seth @seth.bet · 15/11/2025

I rolled credits on a replay of #earthbound on Tuesday, I forgot how much fun it is I’ve never played #Mother3 so I immediately fired it up, I’ve been told by multiple people that I need to play it I have an international flight this week and it’s probably how I’ll spend the majority of it 😂

I started a new job last week (loving it!) and have been commuting to the office in SF daily 🚲 -> ⛴️ -> 🚲 I’ve been bringing my #MiyooFlip with me and playing Earthbound while I wait for the ferry, this game is still such a goofy, wild ride, I love it (I’ve never finished it before!)

A photo of a hand holding a small, grey clamshell handheld video game console. On the screen is a pixel art scene from the video game “Earthbound”, of three children walking in a tunnel. There is a text box in the top right that says “The magic butterfly made Ness and his friends relax”

I’ve seen both good and bad reviews, and I’ve only owned it for a week-ish, I’m loving the #MiyooFlip (v2) I’ve been playing some #GameBoyAdvance games - Boktai - The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap - Pokémon Emerald Seaglass And SNES - Earthbound And it’s been pretty great!

A hinged handled game console, resembling a Game Boy Advance SP. It is grey in color, slotted into a purple 3D printed grip. On screen is a SNES game, Earthbound, showing pixel art of 3 characters

I’ve been playing my Anbernic and my CFW’ed 3DS both at home and commuting and I really miss both games of this aesthetic (yes, I know they’re still being made) and hardware of this size, truly handheld - the Steam Deck and even the Switch is a tank vs the DS I want handhelds to be this size again

The aesthetic of Game Boy Advance games still rules. I remember the day I got my Fuchsia GBA (the transparent pink one) and I WISH I still had that console #MetroidFusion #GameBoyAdvance

A screenshot from the Game Boy Advance game Metroid Fusion. It is a pixel-art image. It shows Samus in her morph suit (spacesuit), blue and yellow body with a red-tint helmet. Seth @seth.bet · 01/10/2025

I wasn’t kidding. Time for a Metroid Fusion replay

A screenshot from the video game “Metroid Fusion” from the Gameboy advance. Showing an anime style still of Samus, he head and shoulders mainly, in her suit, a reddish colored spacesuit with a green visor. Stopped at “The Bookmark Bookstore” in Oakland, since they have a bunch of boxes of #comics that I’ve found some gems in in the past, came across the first issue of the #digimon comic run from Dark Horse back in 2000. I’ve already got a few other issues, but snagging issue number one for ~66¢ rocks!
