It’s this ones birthday today! She doesn’t really celebrate, except by spending the whole day ignoring me until my zoom meeting starts and then becoming attached to my face. It’s her favourite pastime.

Honestly the shittiest reasoning, and far too prevalent. “One victim could be lying!!!!! Therefore we will try nothing to deter the hundreds of criminals.” If the threat of this deterred even 10% of potential rapists, it would be worth the statistically insignificant number of false accusations.

Problem is, I get that billionaires are structurally incapable of helping others. But they can’t even help themselves. It’s ironic that the ones with the most money truly have no idea how to buy happiness. Just empty, dull lives consumed by getting more money in order to get more money.

I agreed to demo tablet weaving at a public venue on Saturday. Slight catch - never done tablet weaving before! Whoops. So far I’ve had actual stand up fights with both the warping pegs and the loom, and also threaded the entire warp upside down somehow…

Irony is that dude didn’t do anything to aggravate the bison. He and a younger relative were walking a safe distance away, some a-hole in a pick up startled the bison but drove off quick and it fixed on him instead. Possibly even fixed on them and he took the attack so his relative could get away.

I agree with you totally. But there is a difference between never showing signs and never getting caught. It’s hard with pillars of the community because you’re trained and even pressured into giving them the benefit of the doubt - but it doesn’t mean there aren’t clues there.

There are always clues though. They’ll show you they don’t respect consent and that they hate women. It’s the way they insult women who reject them as well as the ones they find unattractive. It’s in the jokes they tell, the media they consume, the people they listen too. It’s subtle but it’s there.

We’re starting to get it over here - shops like Boots (pharmacy) have machines that collect beauty product packaging and another for blister packs and issue loyalty card points, but you need apps and scanners and it’s not very accessible if you don’t have/can’t use a smartphone.

I love haggis, though I was set up well - At the first big occasion with my husbands family, I watched his cousin grab his knife and fork, stare at the plate and almost groan “ooooh, haggis!”. Especially good in a ‘full Scottish’ breakfast with lorne sausage and potato scones.

I’m disabled. I’m a wheelchair user. I don’t want a humanoid robot. I want the income to give a cleaner some work. A container/shelf that follows me around and catches all the shit I need to keep with me, and driverless cabs because human public transport/cab drivers hate me.
