It lives! Sick and covered in poop, but still alive 😅

Boo, I went to work and left my poor tama at home 😭 The Paradise is fine with the babysitter, but I'm also running a Gen1 and I don't expect it'll survive the day all by itself 😞

Boss got word of a pigeon kid too young to survive by itself, trapped inside a construction site, so he went out during his lunch break to catch the wee bebe 🥹 Currently keeping me company while I work, will be picked up by rehabbers soon 😊

Yesterday I played Puerto Rico for the first time, and I was not impressed. Besides the atrocious theme, it had the visual appeal of a painted brick wall. Mechanically it was fine, but without a nice theme and visuals, it was just meh. It could vanish from the planet and I wouldn't miss it 🤷‍♀️

Interest popped up every now and then, but I resisted. I knew there was a season 3, but completely missed the fourth that funded earlier this year. Then I randomly found the core box on sale a few weeks ago, and now I have ten films and some extra stuff 😁 Not into the minis, though, thankfully 😅

When Final Girl first came out I was intrigued by the system, but not at all interested in Camp Happy Trails, which was pretty much the only thing showcased for it. I ignored it. Then came season 2 and I was very interested in the Alien and Thing boxes. Still, I never pulled the trigger...

Late again, but these are the boardgames we/I played in June. Not much variety, but I discovered Final Girl and got just a tiny bit obsessed 😅 Skara Brae is also new and also very good 😊

Stats page showing the board games I played in June. Only three different games. Final Girl on top with 9 plays, Skara Brae second with 2 plays, and Keep the Heroes Out played once. All played by me and my boyfriend, or me alone.

Masters of the Universe. It's good, go see it now 😊 We took a friend to a 2pm viewing and had the entire theater to ourselves. That was glorious 😄

Got home from my road trip fairly late last night, after we lost a ferry (made us 20mins late) and a bus breakdown which meant we had to wait for alternative transportation for another 30mins 😬 Ended up stuffing all passengers and our luggage onto a local bus. Cramped, to say the least 😅

We saw The Mandalorian and Grogu today! It's great, will definitely recommend 👌 Lots of fun, cool critters, nice to look at. The anzellans were amazing and totally stole the show 😄

Watching the first of the Eurovision semi finals. 13 entries in, and so far it's all been migraine inducing. Rubbish with strobe lights. Except for Croatia, I guess. They were pretty good.

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

I did really like the very last bit, though, with the bird-dino comparisons 😀 I also liked the intro, and the critter designs were neat (would've loved more color, though), and I liked that it goes all through Triassic until the end, even though it really should've been longer to cover more stuff..

000

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

Watched the entire The Dinosaurs docu on Netflix today. I was excited, and I did like it, but have some mixed feelings.. Mainly I didn't like the end. I'm so tired of the KT event, we all know it was a Very Bad Time, and I didn't enjoy seeing the poor bebes wheezing & dying horribly 🤷‍♀️ Made me sad 😭

My walking partners when I go to work 😊 There were at least four more crows around, and a magpie or two that usually don't get in the middle of the murder and have to get their own peanuts in secret 😅

Behold! The pink wonder 😀 The dentist recommended I get one, specifically one with the small round brushes, and I happily obliged 🤣

My hand holding a box with a new electric toothbrush. Oral B iO 9s in pink. A sort of metallic light pink. Very pretty 😀

Today's smoothie was quite random: A pear, some baby spinach leaves, a lump of kale and ginger from one of those frozen mix bags, and a little honey. It was... not very good 😅

010

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 27/01/2026

Have a dentist's appointment tomorrow, and I have of course therefore spent the entire morning today researching electric toothbrushes... read reviews, checked prices, watched videos, etc 😅 And I've settled on the iO 9, in pink 😄

010

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

Today's smoothie is pure snack: banana, peanut butter, and chocolate-flavored oat milk 😋 And the floors are cleaned, so now I'm sitting down with Animal Crossing and Prehistoric Planet 😊

010

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 21/01/2026

Today's smoothie: apple, kiwi, banana, chia seeds & almond milk. 😋 Today's lesson: I clearly have no idea how to deal with kiwis 😩 I thought you could just cut them in half and scoop the meat out with a spoon, but apparently not 🤷‍♀️

010

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 19/01/2026

And by "throwing out" I mean I set it aside until I decide what to do with it 😅 Who knows, maybe it's still perfectly edible 🤷‍♀️

Was going to the bedroom to get some board games to play tonight, but stopped by the kitchen for something I instantly forgot. Decided it was time to finally sort through our boxes of various soups and sauces, and ended up throwing out a bag of pancake mix that expired in 2016...

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 19/01/2026

Today's smoothie: banana, apple, a few raspberries, oats, chia seeds, and almond milk. Thick enough to eat with a spoon 😅 Could be a bit sweeter, as I think the oats make it taste somewhat... gray 🤷‍♀️

snotling @servantofbollan.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

I'm quite enjoying the new blender. So far I've made three different smoothies 😊Today I made one with pear, ginger, blueberries and almond milk. Very nice, though would've liked just a bit more substance... maybe chia seeds or something 🤔

I have both, more sales on Etsy (because of Google?), but I prefer Ravelry. Both because Etsy is kinda expensive, and a pattern sale on Ravelry will never be mistaken for a physical item 🫠 That stuff gets old really fast...

Just finished rewatching all of Stranger Things and are ready move on to season 5 😀 But should we wait for part two? We won't be able to watch the finale on the day it airs anyway, and so far I haven't seen a single spoiler... so maybe it's safe to wait for the whole season to be done 🤷‍♀️

Since we were traveling at Halloween I forgot to post about these guys that I spent all October crocheting 😅 A Frankenstein's monster, Cthulhu, and Mothman. All following pretty much the same basic pattern (from my head). Cthulhu's wings and Mothman's arms are pretty much the same as well.

A stubby crocheted Frankenstein monster. Black shoes, brown pants, purple sweater, green skin, black hair, gray knobs on either side of his neck.

Back of Cthulhu, showing his darker green wings.

My hand holding a crocheted Mothman. All black, with wings for arms, pointy "ears" and red eyes. A fluffy ruff around his neck made with fake fur yarn.

I fear that the pile of shopping bags full of yarn and half-finished crochet projects that's currently taking up half our living room floor is about to gain sentience 😬 I should probably try to sort it and stash it away before it takes over our lease...

Back home from vacation 😌 Time for laundry 😅 Also really nice to be back to our own shower 😀 The water pressure in the hotel shower was abysmal and washing my hair took forever. Would be quicker to shave my head, wash my scalp and then grow my hair back...

Also, I almost fell on my face today. Stepped off the sidewalk and lost my balance, but instead of landing on my hands and knees, I (more or less) accidentally did a sort of wonky judo roll and ended up on my back, both legs straight up in the air 😅 So elegant 💀

Currently in Brighton. Found a board game cafe & store and ended up getting two new games 😀 Seaside because it's been on my wishlist for a long time and we actually set foot on a beach today (gasp!), and Moving Wild because it looks fun and plays 1-6 👌

Two board games on a white bedsheet. Seaside, a blue and white box with a crab on the front, and Moving Wild, a smaller orange box with a hippo on the front.

At a party I once had a stick of celery with dip. Disgusting 🤢 Today, 20 years later, I decided to give celery another try. Made a pasta & chickpea thing with tomato sauce. Chopped carrot, onion & celery as base. Nope. Celery is still not food 😒 It was good, but I can still smell the celery 😭

The new games this month were Minos, Golem and Stamp Swap (the bg store had a massive sale), and also Everdell Silverfrost. As you can probably tell from the image, Golem and Minos were my favorites of the new ones 😊 I'm getting more and more into heavy euros, I'm even considering a Lacerda next 😅🤯
