Yesterday I played Puerto Rico for the first time, and I was not impressed. Besides the atrocious theme, it had the visual appeal of a painted brick wall. Mechanically it was fine, but without a nice theme and visuals, it was just meh. It could vanish from the planet and I wouldn't miss it 🤷‍♀️

Late again, but these are the boardgames we/I played in June. Not much variety, but I discovered Final Girl and got just a tiny bit obsessed 😅 Skara Brae is also new and also very good 😊

Got home from my road trip fairly late last night, after we lost a ferry (made us 20mins late) and a bus breakdown which meant we had to wait for alternative transportation for another 30mins 😬 Ended up stuffing all passengers and our luggage onto a local bus. Cramped, to say the least 😅

Watched the entire The Dinosaurs docu on Netflix today. I was excited, and I did like it, but have some mixed feelings.. Mainly I didn't like the end. I'm so tired of the KT event, we all know it was a Very Bad Time, and I didn't enjoy seeing the poor bebes wheezing & dying horribly 🤷‍♀️ Made me sad 😭

Just finished rewatching all of Stranger Things and are ready move on to season 5 😀 But should we wait for part two? We won't be able to watch the finale on the day it airs anyway, and so far I haven't seen a single spoiler... so maybe it's safe to wait for the whole season to be done 🤷‍♀️

Since we were traveling at Halloween I forgot to post about these guys that I spent all October crocheting 😅 A Frankenstein's monster, Cthulhu, and Mothman. All following pretty much the same basic pattern (from my head). Cthulhu's wings and Mothman's arms are pretty much the same as well.

Back home from vacation 😌 Time for laundry 😅 Also really nice to be back to our own shower 😀 The water pressure in the hotel shower was abysmal and washing my hair took forever. Would be quicker to shave my head, wash my scalp and then grow my hair back...

Also, I almost fell on my face today. Stepped off the sidewalk and lost my balance, but instead of landing on my hands and knees, I (more or less) accidentally did a sort of wonky judo roll and ended up on my back, both legs straight up in the air 😅 So elegant 💀

Currently in Brighton. Found a board game cafe & store and ended up getting two new games 😀 Seaside because it's been on my wishlist for a long time and we actually set foot on a beach today (gasp!), and Moving Wild because it looks fun and plays 1-6 👌

At a party I once had a stick of celery with dip. Disgusting 🤢 Today, 20 years later, I decided to give celery another try. Made a pasta & chickpea thing with tomato sauce. Chopped carrot, onion & celery as base. Nope. Celery is still not food 😒 It was good, but I can still smell the celery 😭

Board games I played in September. We finally got back to Frosthaven after a two-year break 🫣 The game is a LOT, so when we break it out it tends to stay on the table for days. The map books help a bunch with setup and clean-up, but still.. Took a while to relearn everything. Love the game, though 😊

My boardgame summary from August. Not a bad month overall, but most of these plays happened during the first few days of the month when we had a friend staying for a week (end of July and into August). After that we sadly had to do adult things like work 😩
