Proud to present my lifesize T. rex head, affectionately named Hannibal. I created this myself from start to finish- digital sculpture, resin 3D printing, painting, etc. Huge thanks to my friend @rj-palmer.com for instrumental crits and redlines during the sculpting process.

I got half of my music project done, but I wanna wait to get some PC fixes in before I finish up. I fear another blue screen while using my backup 😶 Also hoping this cold goes away fast so I can get back to my edits! Tomorrow's another day I s'pose. #ScribesUnited

Oh hey #ScribesUnited started! Don't have any brain power today for any writing, but wanted to find a project to pass the time and get me through the day. So today I'll be cleaning up and sorting a bunch of music I ripped from CDs recently. Been meaning to find the motivation to work on it.

Thanks for hosting this was fun! Got to hear a lot of neat song inspos for others, discover new music, & I was able to use a good number of songs from my Lights of the North playlist (which is still very much a WIP with heavy editing). #SongsOfSeptember

I'll redo "side char". When I first heard this (also my intro to the singer), I couldn't help but think of my own Aurora, & how appropriate it would be if she was the one singing this, referring to a certain someone 😅 #SongsOfSeptember youtu.be/cgM1K48shdI

One thing I've learned in my writing journey, is how challenging it is to write 1st person well. I feel like there's often a connotation with 1st person & using it only for a young demo. Me starting with (a more mature) 1st person + featuring an introverted, insecure MC, has def been hardmode 😅

Digimon Beatbreak This was a very slow-paced series, before it started to find its footing. Some of the most heartfelt, emotional background stories, even for the side cast. They really upped the maturity of the story, surprising me. Oh, & it also has the first canon queer couple too! Good stuff! 😌

I still think of this as the 'closing credits' song for Lights 😅 The lyrics are incredibly on-point for Aurora's emotions & determination. While it's an upbeat, hopeful song, there's still a sense of unease during the choir portions. For the translation... 🧵 #SongsOfSeptember youtu.be/zdY1CSKP7uw

I started this drawing months ago as part of a course I was teaching and I finally got around to finishing it this afternoon. I’m still refining my coloured pencil skills so I’m very pleased with this one. Also, I’m now a big fan of coloured paper. #SciArt

An illustration of my original character Aleron. He has long blue hair with glowing cyan ends, fair skin, elf ears and is wearing a dark blue outfit with silver armour around his left shoulder and fingers. He’s looking down at a red glowing butterfly hovering above his left hand with a smile on his face. His left eye is green and his right eye is blue. The background is a faint blue.

While this track is one of the openers to the movie, here I'm using it for the faceoff in the final confrontation in Lights. The song really pulls out the full orchestra & choir - perfect for a scene requiring contemplation before springing into action. #SongsOfSeptember youtu.be/1EmomXO6GHc

(Can't sleep, posting early 😶) This song best refers to a certain quartet of chars - their lives upended, devastated by a war they couldn't win, until they found their own sense of paradise with their new family. There's sadness, but comfort in their future. #SongsOfSeptember youtu.be/wE60bSJTizY

An illustration of my original characters, Liu Zhurong and Zhang Ruoxi. They are standing back-to-back in the centre of the drawing, with their arms crossed and are looking at each other with stern expressions on their faces. They both have their hair up in a high ponytail. Zhurong is slightly shorter than Ruoxi. They’re both coloured in a golden glow. Behind them is a stone sculpture on a wall of them gazing at each other lovingly in their past life. Behind Zhurong is Ruoxi’s portrait on the wall, where he has long hair and pointy ears. Behind Ruoxi is Zhurong’s portrait on the wall. The centre of the wall has a glow, while the rest is covered in shadows.

Random question of the day - what are your thoughts on background stories? Came across a note I made, where I once read a piece of writing advice someone gave. They were NOT a fan of background stories/flashbacks, saying that "chars should shine through as they are currently!" 🧵

Happy national fox day 🦊 I didn't even know that was a thing until after I finished this design, ahah! #formline #indigenousart #telekitneticart #nationalfoxday

A formline design of a red fox. The background is a gradient dark teal, and the fox is a striking rust-orange, with gradienting darker umber on its snout and tail, and pale yellow chest/ear fluff and tail tip. It has it's tail wrapped around it's body, hiding its legs. It's head is angled to the left side.
