on the counter. It's definitely not a huge place, no seating or anything. Really it's just an inside kitchen. "Not much, but... I'm able to feed people."

His smile softens as they enter the Firmament, Janlenoux leading the way over towards one of the smaller buildings set up with kitchen gear to prepare food for the workers and citizens alike. "Here we are... this is the place I've been working recently." He carries his purchases in and sets them+

Really? You wouldn't want something miqo'te?

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/06/2026

Tis not a problem at all, I don't mind if you-- [Coughs.]

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 06/06/2026

Why do you say that like you're surprised?

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 06/06/2026

[He shakes his head.] No... We'll think of something.

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 27/05/2026

"It is." He chuckles. "But... Refreshing. I deserve their hesitance, of course. But having you see past that is... Lovely." He offers her a gentle smile, chuckling at how excited she seems now.

"Mayhaps we can bake some rolls to go with the stew, then?" He smiles. He also tries not to react when their hands gently brush against one another's. But if she were to look up, he's definitely red...

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 26/05/2026

[His hand immediately moves into her hair, gently scratching.]

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 26/05/2026

Oh. /Oh/. Oh. "R-Right! L-Let's get going, then. Would you... Like to help me with my preparations? With cooking?" He laughs awkwardly, leading the way.

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 26/05/2026

Oh, Fury, she noticed. "Hah..." He rubs the back of his neck nervously. "Something... Something like that..." That's... a good excuse, right? Absolutely a good excuse. A safe excuse. "... Would you like to join me back to the Firmament, then?"

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

He shakes his head. "It makes sense. You have nothing to apologize for. I'm lucky enough to be allowed to leave the /city/." He chuckles, before awkwardly shuffling in place a bit. "...I apologize, I didn't mean to keep you for so long..."

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

Yes, my heart? [His arms wrap around her as well.]

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

Thankfully, he doesn't seem to notice. Or he's good at hiding that he noticed. It's... hard to tell, really. "Still not allowed to leave Coerthas... Some of the ward are not allowed to leave Ishgard as a whole... Few of us were deemed... 'safe' enough to venture out into Coerthas, as well." He+

He catches that bit of hesitation, like she doesn't want to remember something... So he decides not to question further. "Yes, always have been here. My house is a lesser house pledged to House Durendaire." He explains. "Joined the Ward at 24..."

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

"Lord Francel is doing wonderfully." He smiles, offering her a nod. "Mor Dhona... Can't say I've personally been there." He chuckles. "What's it like? I wish I could see the star, but, alas." He shrugs. "It is nice to know that Ishgard is home to so many more people now..."

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

But my father's insistence and the fact that Adelphel was joining..." He shakes his head. Surely a Warrior of Light could care less about this. "Your home, hm? Might I ask where you're from?"

100

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

He sighs. "I'm preparing dinner for people in the Firmament..." He trails off, rubbing the back of his neck. "I've always been into culinary. I used to cook all of the meals for the rest of the Ward, whether we were in Ishgard or stationed elsewhere. Truthfully, I wanted to be a culinarian.+

around Ishgard... I assumed with all of the travels and star-saving, you'd rather be... Well, anywhere else." Gods, Janlenoux. Why are you so awkward and weird and... "I-I mean, tis quite common knowledge, all that you do..." That's still weird, Janlenoux. He lets out a sigh. "I'm making you+

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 25/05/2026

Oh. Oh whoops she noticed. Hells. "Right, I... Apologies. Lost in thought." He quickly turns to the shopkeep and pays for the half squashed potato, as well as some other ingredients, gathering them all into a bag. He turns back to the miqo'te and sighs. "I didn't realize you still spent time+

in arms when they were primals. Oh, Fury. And now he's staring. He's staring for far too long. He's making it weird with his stock pot under his arm and a potato in his hand. He hasn't even bought the potato yet. Get yourself together, Janlenoux...

with him to get his gil. All he needed was a new stock pot and some ingredients, then he could return to the Firmament to begin prepping a meal for the evening. During his wandering, however, he spots a familiar, bright pink. The same bright pink that once fought against him and his brothers+

@klyhhianitsah.etheirys.social It's just a normal stroll through the Jeweled Crozier. Of course, people are still avoidant of him. Rightfully so, he thinks. There are a few who will at least grace him with a smile or a nod of their head. And of course, the artisans and shopkeeps will converse+

I've seen people with little bags to keep their phones in to prevent loss... Mayhap I should get her one...

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 19/05/2026

Wonderful to see you again. Did Panne lose her phone...?

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

"Of course, my heart..." He smiles. "You just focus on resting your eyes. I'll wake you up."

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

He gently runs his fingers through her hair, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "I'll make you some soup."

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

"It's okay." He smiles. "Rest now. Okay? I'll take care of you."

"Never apologize for getting sick. You can't help that." He smiles. "I just want you to take care of yourself."

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

"For /all/ of us..." He murmurs. "I know you're strong, but you're not immune to illness, mon amour..."

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

"Please, do not apologize... It's okay." He smiles. "I'd rather you both be well." He rests his hand on her belly.

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

Janlenoux shuffles to the other room, returning with a cool rag and some hot tea. "Lay down, beloved. This can rest on your forehead for now."

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

"I would much rather you be well. We can have a picnic indoors." He smiles, sitting her down on the couch.

110

Janlenoux de Courcillant @serjanlenoux.etheirys.social · 13/05/2026

"Very... Let's postpone the picnic. We can have the food I prepared here. You need rest, my love." He presses a kiss to her forehead and leads her to the couch.
