Are you a cis man feeling disgusted at the news? Good. Use that. Talk to your fellow men about what you're going to do to make our industry and our world safer. And then actually do it. You may lose friends or opportunities, but a better and safer industry and world starts with you.

If there's anything the last few years of AI bs has taught me, it's that the thing I enjoy the most about work is struggle. I like staring at a blank page, frustrated. I LOVE iterating on a story a million times and having it still not feel right. Give me sandpaper or give me death, bro

Joined the official Ren'py server, saw that there were multiple channels dedicated to AI (I know you can hide them, but I know they're still there) and immediately left. Ugh

My friend showed me the best art book store I've ever been in in my life, in Toronto. It's cramped, the entire place is filled with random boxes but I got THIS for close to MSRP, it's been out of print iirc for fucking forever and costs so much and I got it wrapped brand new. What the fuck.

It really is quite lonely being trans and brown. There are so few trans people I know that come from similar backgrounds and sometimes it feels like I'm an outsider everywhere

Walking to meet Natalie downtown, when a guy moved to intercept me. I ignore him, but as I walk past he yells "FUCK!" at the top of his lungs. My location was right by him so I missed it and had to turn around to get to it.

When I worked on Space Marine 2 I became the target of a mass harassment campaign by the worst corners of the 40K fandom. Saber tried to deal with the problem by asking me to remove that I worked for them from my social media. I refused. Not at all surprised by this behaviour from Karch.

Man remember when new phone releases were crazy leaps forward every year? Like holy shit we went from a 480p to 720p screen AND 2x the ram AND 4x the CPU core from the Samsung S1 to the S3. Meanwhile my s21 from 5 years ago has 8gb of ram vs the 12 on the s26, and practically the same 1080p screen

Bayor's Burden I'm so excited for the @soulframe.com Fall Update! #Soulframe #SoulframeFanart

Helmetless Bayor, with a sad/frustrated expression, looks at a broken sword. The sword is hanging upside down in front of him, and glows with a golden light. The meteor Osuraxi is faintly blue in the background. Bayor is framed by raven wings. The painting is done in a loose, tarot card style.

Gonna change the resolution of my game from 640x360 to 320x240 because it's taking too long to get the art done lol. Old(very old) sprites for Priscilla and Yulica vs new ones from yesterday.

Sprite art of 2 characters. The outer two being old art, and the inner two being new art at a lower resolution.

I do think that people need to realize that the EXTREME vitriol against theories that say "X character is transfem" are rooted in maintaining hierarchy ESPECIALLY when it's presented in a "men are allowed to just be feminine, stop forcing gender stereotypes on them" kinda way

The pitch that genAI "lowers the barriers of entry" is a cover for extreme elitism. They only want access to other people's skills bc they have such a limited definition of what art even is- they don't see creative processes, they see "art" as the finished thing only and that's all they want.
