iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Today I’ll be heading to Shibuya to pick up my TIMM badge and mix with other industry professionals in the world music industry. I have a lot more plans for Tokyo and not a lot of time but I’m so happy and appreciative to be here. どもありがとうございます。

Finally I doubled back to Asakusa walking through the Senso-ji grounds to meet with an old friend and her furry friends at her cat rescue.

I’m currently staying in Akihabara which is very convenient for fulfilling my fandom and foodie desires and I visited my old stay at Higashi-Juujo. In addition, I went to win love by daylight visiting the Hikawa Shrine and ate at McDonald’s at Azabu-Juuban.

I came to Tokyo for a musical vision quest, first going to MOGRA and then later this week I will be attending Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM) as the envoy for @hakubiverse.com.

Figure I’d sit down to make a more substantial post about my time in Japan. Already went to do a lot of cool things and see so many cool sights I haven’t really had time to post other than to update my IG stories. #Japan #Japanese #Tokyo #TIMM #MOGRA #music #anime #AnimEDM #otaku

Holy sh!t. Anime Houston’s website has been compromised. Although if anyone is privy to the current #AnimeHouston drama, they practically asked for it.

Happiest of New Years Nightkids! Before we put 2024 behind us, today I have uploaded both Sonic Rave sets. Thank you Club Kaiju and Sonic Expo for having me involved; this was a couple of the most fun sets I got to play and I’m glad the Stars enjoyed them live!

The Hau5 was just out to buy a couple of doodads and we figure we check Game Night Arcade & Bar out, only to have run into @ranzd.bsky.social and his homies. Ended up there until 11PM, it just seems so natural being at that bar.

I accidentally bought tickets for tonight instead of tomorrow so for the first time ever I’m watching a movie in theaters for Christmas…and for the second time ever, I’m seeing a movie at Magnolia on the border of Coral Springs and Parkland.

It’s almost #rave weekend stars. Your Otaku Chief ☝🏽 will be going fast all across Texas as I will be joining Club Kaiju to kick off the Chao Garden Sonic Rave.

Sephi Hakubi @sephihakubi.com · 14/12/2024

The Hau5 of Hakubi officially existed for 11 years as today is our anniversary of when we said “FTW, let’s do this”. I don’t think either of us would imagine how far we have came not just as @sephihakubi and @amehakubi, but as Chris and Laura.

I love Trance, I love Hard Dance, I love anime, and I love my Stars, and I will always appreciate your support in this grand scheme to make the rave great again. Pic Related: The sugar spread I sampled today.

I've been looking forward to this since the Trance explosion in Houston last year and I am incredibly excited to share my love of Trance music on this main stage and Galaxy Station proper next year. We've fought very hard to keep the rave alive, let's keep it great and sell the place out!

000

Made it back home last night after watching the best dance musicians in the world play on the world's best dance music statges. 12 days from now, I will be joining many of the world's best again as I will be joining a GOATed lineup at Galaxy Station presents: MISSION CONTROL in Houston, Texas.

#DreamstateSoCal was Heaven on Earth for me and other than last year’s Galaxy Station, I can’t remember a time in the last decade when I was truly happy. I am so happy to see #Trance thriving anywhere and I’m just as inspired to make Trance available in more places!

Hakubi is back home in Texas and we have a lot of Dreamstate moments to drop this week. Here is Part 1 of my select photo upload.

Here we go! Day 2 of #DreamstateSocal. It was super cold outside the hotel but feels much better at the fest. Sorry for the lack of real-time content. Need to conserve battery. Will dump all the content the next couple of days. #Trancefamily

I try not to get political if I can help it and I reserve my unhinged truth-telling on X and possibly Threads while I usually keep Bluesky for music production and creations, but I feel I should share this everywhere.

Sephi Hakubi @sephihakubi.com · 05/11/2024

My Harlan Hogan VO:1-A microphone from VoiceOverEssentials.com just arrived. Very excited to test this out this weekend. I only just compose in my studio but definitely want to get some vocal recording done and maybe some voice acting.
