It’s hard to believe that twenty-five years ago, I was a week into my freshman year of college. Far from home, near DC. I hadn’t even bought the cord I needed yet to hook up my new little tv/vcr combo. So I watched everything from the dorm’s commonroom tv. It helped, to be around others that day.

I want absolutely no political commentary as response - I just want to say that I happened to run into Senator Jean Shaheen tonight out at a show. She was with members of her family, and she was lovely to me when I recognized her. It was just an entirely nice experience.

I wish we’d stop calling certain kids “popular” in high school. They are not the kids with the most friends. Can we call them, like, “optimized” instead? The kids with the most advantaged position, often meaning looks, money, access, social capital, etc? That’s what we mean - call it that.

Was able to do a big piece of healing for myself this past Sunday. Over nine years in coming… I screwed up my nerves and I DID IT. I felt like a foreign exchange student on their first day. Thank you to everyone who reacted to me, talked to me, smiled at me, and remembered me. 💜

It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.

We had to put up with school shootings because "the 2nd Amendment" But watch ICE eliminate the right to bear arms by executing anyone they find with a gun and to hell with the 2nd Amendment. ICE will soon be killing citizens in their own homes because they're scared there might be a gun inside.
