so no, it wasn't "beauty standards" or "society" that made me think i'm ugly. it was everyone around me telling me so and also having fucking eyes and mirrors. "i don't know what you look like, but..." stop. you don't. and you don't know the evidence i have for it either.

i was 12. i was 12 and the person who was supposed to be my best friend said i was ugly and basically not supposed to reject people. in college, the person supposed to be my new best friend point blank told me she surrounds herself with people she views as lesser than her.

like it would have been one thing if it was just the assholes calling me a fat ugly bitch, but it was literally friends too. i'll never forget the person who at the time was supposed to be my best friend telling me my rejection would hurt more "coming from someone like you."
