FYI I’ll be attending my final gaming show of the year, the Pin-A-Go-Go, tomorrow and Saturday. It’s a cozy show with pinball machines from all eras in a tiny town. My only regret is that the 90 minute commute both ways coincided with gas prices exploding. But will it be worth it? Absolutely!

I’m cheating because it’s sketch comedy, but mine is The Edge. The big star at the time was Julie Brown, but the cast also included Wayne Knight while he was Newman, Jennifer Aniston before she was Rachel, and Tom Kenny before he was SpongeBob. Not sure how the 90s humor holds up now but I liked it.

Can’t believe I forgot to brag about this here yesterday, but even though it was a modest field of fifteen, I finally won an IFPA sanctioned pinball tournament! Big trophy! Good money! Ranking go up! It was a long time coming, that’s for sure.

It was a Cirqus Voltaire themed tournament, which was just installed a few weeks ago, but I knew enough about it to deliver in the final game. Balloon go boom!

I’m sure “Bootles” isn’t a contraction of “bootleg Beatles,” but I like to think so. The backwards “Luv Dingo” sign always amuses me.

Of all these parody names (that I can figure out), the Groaning Bones is the most appropriate one today.

There used to be a time where a video game would have commentary playing up someone’s 50th home run of the season. Now it’s just another dinger. I guess people still remember the 90’s. Nonetheless, I went from striking out every other AB with Devers to hitting .330 in mid August. Never give up!
