I started putting together an eco-cinema filmography. I realize that this is an impossible task (since many films can be read ecocritically), but maybe it can just be a list of films that resonate with me and that I can keep populating.

I watched the Argentina match just to witness Messi making history, and he did it in the most Messi/magical way possible. The man is unbelievable.

Me: I keep working non-stop and need a day of relaxation to breathe. Also me: Oh, let me switch the documentary book list on the Visible Evidence website to Chicago citation, by creating a Zotero bibliography and checking the citation details of 139 books by hand on a Saturday for no reason.

Worked a full day on my new course on media in the Anthropocene and it's slowly coming together. I imagine that I'm quite lucky to be assigned two eco-media courses (one undergrad and one grad) in a year.

The images of people freed from Syrian torture chambers are giving me chills. I hope something good comes out of the regime change after all this suffering, although the path looks very challenging with the current political actors. Iraq is not a promising precedent but it's unhealthy to compare.
