honestly you can argue that every generation has its own feel (and thus call the previous ones "retro" as we moved on), except for ps5 because it never happened. it was cross-gen for too long and now it's looking like it's gonna get killed too soon before it even got any games of its own.

on the subject of how "modern" vintage games are, I think all reasonable people can agree that the ps2 was a pretty different era, but I'm surprised by how many think ps3 is literally just the same as today's games. no it's not.
