They're creating a captive/dependent streamer economy. Make it easier to set up and keep people on the site. That way, when they decide to start billing it's harder for creators to leave and they're more likely to pay a subscription fee.

Now you can tell your local game store to stock Paragons and send them to IPR!

There is a special place in hell for people who do not check availability in Outlook before they schedule a meeting.

This should go for all customer service type roles, not just waiters...

A pie chart that is a solid color with a title of "Reasons why I'm polite to waiters" with the key color saying "Because I realize they're human beings, trying to make a living, not my servants."

If I ask "Hey is anyone else experiencing this issue?" I'm not asking you to fix it...I'm asking if it's just me or if there is a larger problem. I hate when people start answering questions I didn't ask.

Random text conversation excerpt because it made me chuckle.

A text message conversation between two people:

A. Did I take a shower today?
B. I wouldn't know, I'm a bit far.
A. Lol so you're saying no sniff test
B. Well that and I was in my office and not around you so no way to see if you did or not lol
A. At least you're not admitting to having wired my place for video
B. Of course! I wouldn't wire your place for video. I'd hire someone to do it for me *wink emoji*
A. *Face palm emoji*
B. You walked into that one...just saying

This is just a toddler tantrum. "Fine! You won't let me have my way so I'm gonna go home." It's so ridiculous.

You know, I've hit that point where I'm just exhausted being nice. I really do need to tell people to fuck off more often...but then the guilt shows up. Why is it so hard to just do stuff for yourself?

Someone else having experience and information you don't have isn't a threat to you, it's a benefit. Be curious, ask questions.

There has been a lot of loss this week, public and private. Be kind and patient with yourself. Grief isn't linear. Some days will be better than others. There is no shame in needing time. ❤️

"How dare he not just trust me when I tell him it's not gonna work." Oh ffs, just let someone work through their process. It's not offensive for someone to want to verify for their own thought process.

Just because something is being talked about a lot in social media discourse does not mean it's a large discussion in the population of that fandom as a whole. Social media is only a subset of the group and people are incentivized to ellicit a strong reaction.

Finding out I live in a once a century flood area was not on my bingo card this weekend. It's flooded before, but it was never this bad. I'm ok. I can still get in and out and live up on a hill...but I'm keeping an eye on things.

It's a free streaming platform because the content we create on it is how they make money. The cut of subs/bits/ad revenue has never been enough for them...line must go up. We are the product, the data and what they can do with it has the value. It was never about support and all about profits.

I'm getting tired of the anti-ambassador program content going around. It seems like nothing but rage baiting and engagement farming to ride the algorithm. Does the Magic Ambassador program seem out of touch? Yes, do I think it needs improvement? Also yes. The vitriol is just ridiculous.

Got in the first #commander game of #GenCon with @scrysociety.bsky.social and @strykredkite.bsky.social I'll be here all 4 days and looking to play 🙂

A woman with her hair in a ponytail wearing glasses, a man with dark hair and a mustache and beard, and another male with buzzed hair and a long beard and glasses are all facing the camera and smiling

3 playmats laid out on a table with magic the gathering cards on them. It looks like a commander game in progress.

As someone who was born in Houston, TX. I won't say the state is perfect, but it is definitely not what the state government makes it out to look. Decades of gerrymandering have created a red state where a purple one should be. It makes me sad for my family and friends there.

With a good Rule Zero conversation, I am generally flexible if people want to play some things that aren't exactly #commander legal, within reason. Its meant to be a social format. If someone takes advantage of that, then I know for next time and can walk away.
