i'm really vibing with the roman vibes in fortune's weave. like, it's not trying to be historically accurate since this is an anime fantasy, but definitely somebody was doing plenty of research, and i appreciate them for that

line of thought: queen serenity was an incarnation of selene -> greek goddess selene as sailor moon -> hades 2's version of greek goddess selene as sailor moon

a drawing of selene from hades 2 in the pose of one of ikuko itoh's sailor moon key arts. Instead of her usual dress, selene is in a sailor senshi fuku, with light blue collar and skirt and a pink bow. her brooch is based on the brooch she wears normally.

Google’s AI summary thinks Gades saying “THIS is what I would call frue destruction!” is from Lufia II when it is in fact from Lufia: The Legend Returns for the Game Boy. So much knowledge at its disposal and it can’t even pretend to be a Lufia fan accurately, just absolutely pathetic. #blutoid

A Google AI summary that reads “Frue destruction!” Is a famous good-bad translation error from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals that became a long-running meme among fans of the series.” This information is incorrect

A screenshot of Lufia: The Legend Returns. Gades is shown saying “THIS is what I would call true destruction!”

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!!

pickle inspector floats in dark blue water. the water closer to him ripples and glitters, and the water farther from him fades to black. stars reflect on its surface, making it look like he's floating in space itself. lotus flowers and leaves float around him.

i'm replaying dragon quest builders 2 again, and decided to just have my builder be hatsune miku.

a short comic. in the first panel, malroth from dragon quest builders 2 is sitting in the water on the island of awakening. He says: "Ugh... where am I? Am I dead? Is this--" Next panel: he's in the same place, but he's noticed something surprising. Third panel: you see Malroth from behind, and he's yelling. In front of him is the builder, but her hair looks like hatsune miku. Malroth yells: "IS THAT HATSUNE MIKU?!"

@shakedown-zine.bsky.social is coming out so soon! i wonder who i'm drawing. surely nobody could ever guess. it's a mystery for the ages

preview image for the shakedown zine. there's a green frame with the name of the zine (shakedown zine), and on the bottom corners are purple dice and playing cards. in the top right corner are the text "CONTRIBUTOR PREVIEW", and then "who is selan drawing???" and then the "it is a mystery" ghost meme. the actual image preview just has some lilypads and lotus flowers on it.

When a good and decent person leaves this world, I think the best thing we can do to honor them is to try to put even more goodness and decency into the world. It's not that we can replace them or their contribution. It's just that we need it all the more now that they're gone.

also hi hello i've been doing 16-color pixel art for my newest game i'm making. please enjoy this frame from a cutscene i just finished.

chunky 16-color pixel art. One character, farthest from the camera, is a purple elf man with white hair and a blue cape billowing behind him. He is running. Another character is riding a wolf, who is mostly out of frame. She has dark skin, pink pigtails, and pink clothing, also billowing behind her. The wolf, who you can barely see, is grey and is a good boy.
