Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 28/03/2026I finally unstalled on Optimus and knocked it out in 81 days. What a fun build. 990 pieces or so? I haven't been to the bench since 2/27 and I need to get started on some figures and a dio. 000
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 05/09/2025Things are moving along. Now it's time to study that paint 100
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 23/08/2025Can't wait for the people doing this to face the consequences that are coming for them. 010
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 22/08/2025Completed my entry into VMX2025, hosted by Modellers Without Borders. Here are a few shots that didn't make it in to the judging. Huge shout out to my brother for shooting these great photos. 010

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 16/08/2025Progress report. Canopy sanded, tinted dipped in clear and masked Fiber optics are in the cockpit and need to be glued (suggestions welcome) LEDs laid on body, wings sealed. Almost ready fully for paint. 100
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 05/08/2025I have the yolopark Optimus that I need to start. But this batwing needs to be brought into the world first 100
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 31/07/2025I got this guy last year and snapped it at a build day. It was great little build. Thank you for reminding me that I should paint him up as a palette cleanser 010
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 20/07/2025I haven't tested this yet but i heard that if you add a little gloss clear to the chrome, it's not as fragile. Might be worth a test on a mule. 110
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 20/07/2025The principles of that class are going to really help here. It might be exactly covered, but it gave me a lot of confidence to go this route. Thank you again for taking the time. Even just the basic q&a gave me a huge head start. 110
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 19/07/2025I guess that figure customization course I took with @tomgco90.bsky.social at Wonderfest came at the perfect time. Now I gotta get some AVES. 230

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 13/07/2025My spinmaster detail up has earned me AMT Batwing. Still stalled on the Optimus and my growing backlog of GunPla. This has stretched me in a new direction, as it's my first real plane kit. 280

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/07/2025It was the first time I got to share this experience with my brother. To feel him, as an adult, in awe. To see him connect to his childhood hero in a way he has never been able to. Thank you for making this about hope. About humanity. It was beautiful to see. 000
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/07/2025There have been many iterations of Superman on film over the last 45 years. Nothing stood up to Reeves and even then, nothing that felt contemporary. Donner's movie is an opera. Your version resonated in a way I can't describe. 110
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/07/2025@jamesgunn.bsky.social thank you. Saw the movie last night. My twin brother and I love movies. We connect over them. In 2002 I got to see my childhood superhero done justice. However my brother has not been able to experience the same thing as an adult. . 100
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/07/2025He knows that. He also knows there aren't nonviolent mechanisms to stop him. He's counting on it. 000

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 29/06/2025Finished it today. It was a fun project to get this looking more screen accurate. 020

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 23/06/2025I had to do this on insta. I work hard to curate my feeds because my modeling profile should focus on the hobby. I find the intersection of hobby/politics to be... Unproductive. It's more important than ever to define these spaces as separate. For ones own mental health above all else. 010

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 23/06/2025Also recommend reaching out to doghouse hobby studios, because Josh has done something similar with fluro paint and to great effect. 120

Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 17/06/2025I second the IKEA pegboards. They're attractive and useful. Just bought shelves off Amazon for them. The magnetic strip is great for nippers and tweezers 030
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 12/06/2025I made it a paragraph in and I wanted to say... Take time off of your job for things important to you. You're retired and you don't need the money by your own admission. Give yourself permission to go out and enjoy things. Structure things around your availability and that includes your interests. 100
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/06/2025So you know if Mr surfacer will work? I have off cuts for testing if needed. 110
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/06/2025Got signed 1701 D blueprints and a signed technical manual. A vinyl Batman figure I want to paint (no idea what I need to know for this), a Terminator kit, and tiny tiny MENG thopter and spice harvester. My brother grabbed a big bandai star destroyer. Almost grabbed an AK marker set. 210
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 09/06/2025Tom, it was such a pleasure. I was so busy all weekend. Met so many wonderful people, yourself included. Thanks for the help getting started. I'm excited to do it again next year! 110
Dwayne Ayer @seicross.bsky.social · 03/06/2025That's amazing. My father's family has 40 years of kids over 2 generations with the same initials. It was great to meet you this weekend and I'm excited to see you next year! 010
