Well written and nicely articulated as to why the Orioles, with Elias in charge, will (likely) continue to fumble. He’s had nearly a decade to build them into a contender, and they haven’t even won a playoff game. The confidence still shown to his “vision” is wild.

Look, if Alby really is sticking around for another season, I think a bench coach with loads of experience needs to be appointed. Mike Schildt is in-house with the Orioles already, so that is an option. Mattingly, who I’d have welcomed as manager, is an option, too, depending on Philly status.

Every quote by Elias in this article talks about disappointment and how they need new/outside voices to come into the franchise, but he steadily says they’ll continue to “build around Craig.” Insane logic. I hope Rubenstein tosses them both out, because this is embarrassing.

I have never seen such a lack of success rewarded with such confidence. They keep saying to give them time, but they’ve (Elias especially) had it. Now it’s time for them to leave, because these guys at the helm give me zero confidence based on how this season has gone.

Seeing/loving the reactions to what the Orioles are currently doing (I’m not watching), but they could win the last 10 games of the season and it’s still not nearly enough to warrant Albernaz or Elias coming back next season. A veteran manager with a ballsy GM will do wonders with this ball club.

Record aside, Alby has to go simply based on how many of our young(er) players continue battering themselves when they get an out. The manager is supposed to speak into the lives of every person in the clubhouse, and I just do not see any fruit on that tree. Vet manager ASAP.
