I know I don't post much, but I did finally write a new article: Its overwrought, very long, and more detail than anyone needs, but It was fun. I talk about my journey with two big Projects: 10 MTG decks, and wrapping up painting a lot of giants! tinyurl.com/yc59brdf #mtg #D&D #minispainting

A wide shot of all 53 giants I have hand painted over the years, from Stone, Storm, Fire, Frost, Hill and Cloud.

Thanks! The paint jobs span something like 20 years, so there is a spectrum to em!

Hell yeah! I have a display cabinet I use, but even there, it's now more than a full shelf!

Here we are. All 53 painted giants in a single shot. It's hard to make them all out, but! Maybe you find your favorite in there!

53 hand painted giants from d n d. 5 stone giants, 8 fire giants, 12 frost giants, 24 hill giants, 2 cloud giants, 2 storm giants,

It's been a long time, but. I've finished up. 55 giants painted. The final three finished tonight. I can now start the process of transitioning the maps for Against the Giants so I can one day run it.

A collection of 55 hand painted giants in a wooden display case alongside a number of other painted models.

Ive been silent for months and months because things have been tough, personally, and have been lacking in inspiration, enjoyment, and tolerance. But I did do this last night, and its cool #d&d #dungeonsanddragons #maps #adventures

A depth based hand drawn map of a d&d dungeon

A side view detailed map of a depth based d&d dungeon, including room size, tunnel length, and tunnel depth

A top down view of a depth based dungeon, colored pencil and paper, with tunnels and rooms in real space, but without detailing depth.

Got a display case for my wonderful giant-based dice set. Absolutely glorious.

Its been a long while. The end of fall and the holidays were a damned whirlwind! But I did write an article about playing Elden Ring! www.seethingginger.com/wp/2026/01/0... #eldenring #videogames #rpg

As much as I like the concept of gloomhaven, I agree. Knee deep in D&D for three decades means nothing else hits the same.

I think I finished up my one-shot DND Christmas adventure. It's humorous, quick and tight. I think. It also has numerous pages of history and lore and background, but how else would I write? #dnd #adventures #writer #ttrpg #rpg #dungeonsanddragons

It's so hard to prepare for because we're always in caves or dungeons or castles...

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 14/11/2025

Hahaha. Perfection. I've been dming for 30 years and even wrote my own setting book. I can emp.a.thize!

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 14/11/2025

Glorious! Good backstory feed can be absolutely magic in the right game.

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 14/11/2025

Hell yeah! Mounted combat can be so gratifying!

DND nights are always the best nights!

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 12/11/2025

I am glad I am in a position where I can do something like this. I look forward to seeing future projects!

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 12/11/2025

I have had a very bad morning. To offset this, I would like to make someone else's morning very good. *bonk*

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

I miss this type of scrounging survival RPG so much. Definitely gotta try it again soon.

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

And trying to roleplay in a world without texture makes everything surface level. Why do my feelings for (adventure plot) details matter if the details for the actual world the adventure exists in doesn't matter?

120

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

Oh man, yeees. These are the fun, curious, and interesting questions I like researching for my setting, for what I am building - be it an adventure hook, a regional location, or a hideout. Knowing how it fits into the surrounding area and clicks in with everyday folks? The best.

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

Man. My nostalgia just ticked up 1000%

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

Crunchy DND helps in the awkward situation, and some of the old blue books are the absolute coolest for it!

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

This is absolutely rad! Where did you get this?

110

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

I'm writing a "Christmas" one-shot for #dnd5e. it's made me think about holidays, fun, and joy in a campaign setting that is normally pretty bleak. I'm really enjoying it. Once I'm done with it imma put it up for free so other people can tell me what they think and use it!! #ttrpg #rpg #adventures

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 04/11/2025

Bandwidth is such an issues. I have 33 adventures I want to run.... But only one rpg group!

000

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 04/11/2025

God damn! Congrats! I'd love to have a resume like that!!

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 04/11/2025

Knowing that I didn't know. And knowing that we're all trying to have fun together, so I didn't need to be perfect. And being 14 and fearless..just channel your inner teenager!

010

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 31/10/2025

That makes sense. Can't have the whole mythos collapsing in conflict. Strained? Yes.

000

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 31/10/2025

The dedication to the principals is paramount, that's cool!

100

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 31/10/2025

That is gory and glorious. I love setting details that play on direct concept moralities.

100

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

That's a good call. There are a few little things like that which would need to be addressed.

000

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

That's really, really cool! Will the monotheism be the main pivot point of the adventures and campaigns.

100

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

I love settings! All the cool stuff you can do with them!

200

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

I mean, I'm not going to auto-disapprove of all of them, but I know my predilictions.

100

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

The only thing I don't really enjoy/embrace are direct inspiration/clones of other IPs. I like people's takes on archetypes, etc, but I don't really embrace the "I wanted to make a witcher" or "this is a dark souls monster directly ported" type things, ya know?

100

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

I do it all, and I like it all! I've got a homebrew setting, I have homebrew classes and spells, and homebrew critical rules!

000

Seething Ginger @seething-ginger.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

I'm looking for other #homebrew #dungeonsanddragons creators to talk with, ask questions and see how things are going, get ideas and see cool stuff. If you have any recommendations/feeds or are homebrewer yourself, lemme know!
