For typical daily use this is has been a completely satisfactory replacement for the threats inherent to win11. It isn't completely bump free but I think its rougher edges in some way also help. It brings back a bit more of the early century Feel where everything had to be tweaked a bit.

It's obviously not quite as polished as mature win10 or something like that and requires some effort to customize things to a more normal operation, mouse buttons, the middle click one is still weird etc. But a lot of that is just from 40 years of microsoft habituation

In over a year of using linux on my new main PC built just before the AI chipocalypse I have had afaicr only one single event where a program crashing spalled to the rest of the PC making it difficult to clear without a hard reboot. Maybe one other crash directly to reboot months ago.
