No Medicare or CMS data shows decreases in prescription drug costs under Trump. In fact, 2026 and 2027 Part D rules increased deductibles and cost‑sharing, mostly for Tier 3–5 drugs. Some drugs did drop sharply in price — but those drops came from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) passed in 2022.
