2025. What a year for Horror movies! Sinners, 28 years later, Bring her back, Weapons, Dangerous animals… I haven’t seen Together yet. I would also add Nosferatu which was released at the very end of December 2024.

I just watched The Life of Chuck… @mikeflanaganfilm.com you are special. During this last decade, with your movies/series, you scared the shit out of me and you made me cry tears of joy and sadness. Thank you for everything. My life wouldn’t be exactly the same without you! Take care.

Ce ne sont pas des zombies 😭

It feels so good to be entertained by a movie but also ending up spending hours unpacking it and questioning all the different meanings of the story afterwards. That’s what Cinema is about. Thank you D.Boyle and A.Garland for 28 years later. Im going to rewatch it tomorrow and will buy the bluray!

My top 3 of the year so far. 3 horror movies. 3 talented directors that are getting the budget and freedom to make the movie they want to make. That’s what Cinema is about folks!

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

Yes, fuck dem. They should show the original film to their kids instead. Bad parenting! 😆

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

I wanted to rewatch Sinners a second in cinema but never did, and ended up regretting it. I want to watch 28 Years Later a second time and won’t make the same mistake again! Ticket booked for the rewatch on Sunday 😎

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

The intro is one of the best ones in a horror movie ever! So good!

020

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

Yes but it’s pretty explicit in this movie. It’s people contaminated my a rage-like virus. Not dead people coming back to life to eat flesh. Infected movie, yes. Zombie movie, nope. I’ll die on that hill 😅

010

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

Sorry, but… not zombies! 😬

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

Scottish power rangers?! I thought you’d know! 😁

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

Nice! Did you like it? :) I saw it yesterday. It took me a minute to digest it, but one day later I can say that I really enjoyed it! Good thing that the sequel is coming soon, I need it now!!!

Why have nobody told me that 28 Years Later was a live action movie of Attack on Titans?!!

110

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 18/06/2025

C’est vrai que l’intro était super. Je sors de 28 ans la, il faut que je prenne 5min pour retrouver mes esprits 😅

110

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 18/06/2025

I’m still listening to it, once a week at least! 🤣

110

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 18/06/2025

Tu avais pas aimé 28 semaines?

100

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 15/06/2025

Watching How to train your Dragon now… the original, on bluray at home! Fuck the remake and everyone involved in creating this nonsensical ultra capitalistic ‘content’, and everybody who is watching it in theater!

110

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

Ah nice! You’ll have to show me when it’s done 😎

110

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 23/05/2025

It’s not totally bad, respectfully!

010

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 23/05/2025

Prey was so good. Can’t wait for the next Predator movie from the same director! Predator Badlands I think it’s named.

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#12 The Ritual (2017) is one of my favorite horror movie of the last decade, I just love David Bruckner’s work so much. Compelling story about friendship and trauma. And the creature design is splendid!

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning was very disappointing… I was already not a big fan of the previous M:I movie but this one is much worse. There are 2 great action scenes but it’s not enough to save the other 2 hours of poor scenario and lore bullshit. This franchise peaked with Fallout.

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 22/05/2025

Dommage, il mérite d’être vu au cinéma sur un grand écran et avec une bonne installation sonore surtout.

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#11 Attack the block (2011) is a British SF/Horror/Comedy and it’s awesome! It’s funny, scary and the design of the monsters is iconic! Those black furry creatures with glowing blue slimy teeth!

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 21/05/2025

I love everything Craig Zahler makes. This one is no exception!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#10 Dawn of the dead (2004) is one of the few Zack Snyder movies that I truly like and probably my favorite zombie film! One of the best intro, generous action sequences, it’s always a fun watch!

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 20/05/2025

Did you see the twist coming?! 😆

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#9 Companion (2025) is the latest horror addition to my movie collection. I saw it in theater and directly wanted to rewatch it a home asap. It’s a fun film! Sophie Tatcher is becoming a horror queen! 😈

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 19/05/2025

That’s a good one. Western + Cannibals. I simply love it 😈😁

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#8 Christine (1983) has always impressed me with its special effects. Even now, 40 years later, everything still looks awesome and I wonder how Carpenter managed to create such amazing visuals!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#7 Candyman, Candyman, Candyman (1992) remains Tony Todd’s most famous role (RIP 🙏🏼). So many iconic scenes and lines, Candyman’s design, his hook, the bees. Do you dare to say his name 5 times? Candyman…

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 17/05/2025

I got to rewatch Talk to me before watching this one 😈

010

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 17/05/2025

Right?! I was so surprised too! The last Marvel I saw was the Eternals and I kind of given up on Marvel but Thunderbolts was quite good! Super hero take on loneliness and bipolarity, nicely done! And I really liked the design of Dark Bob/ The Void. I loooove shining eyes in horror movies 🤩😁

110

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 17/05/2025

Oh wow, thank you! I hope that you will enjoy the next one too! 😁

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#6 Antlers (2021) was adapted from a short story (The Quiet Boy). It’s having a strong social message about poverty, abuse and how it’s passed on the next generation. But it’s also a wendigo movie!

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 16/05/2025

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#5 Haunt (2019) is a perfect Halloween movie! Halloween night, an extreme haunted house with masked actors. What could go wrong?! Well, the masks are creepy as hell, but what’s under is even worse!

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 16/05/2025

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#4 Splice (2009) is a sci-fi horror movie with Adrien Brody & Sarah Polley in a modern take on the classic Frankenstein’s Monster story. Strangely sexy at times and pretty scary during its 3rd act.

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#3 REC (2007) is a classic! I’m not a big fan of found footage movies but this one has a special place in my heart. It terrified me when I saw it the first time. The final act and reveal is pure horror!

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 16/05/2025

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#2 Dog Soldiers (2002) by Neil Marshall is my favorite werewolf movie. Fun, gory, great practical effects. British humour at its best. And spoiler alert, the dog survives at the end!
