2025. What a year for Horror movies! Sinners, 28 years later, Bring her back, Weapons, Dangerous animals… I haven’t seen Together yet. I would also add Nosferatu which was released at the very end of December 2024.

I just watched The Life of Chuck… @mikeflanaganfilm.com you are special. During this last decade, with your movies/series, you scared the shit out of me and you made me cry tears of joy and sadness. Thank you for everything. My life wouldn’t be exactly the same without you! Take care.

It feels so good to be entertained by a movie but also ending up spending hours unpacking it and questioning all the different meanings of the story afterwards. That’s what Cinema is about. Thank you D.Boyle and A.Garland for 28 years later. Im going to rewatch it tomorrow and will buy the bluray!

My top 3 of the year so far. 3 horror movies. 3 talented directors that are getting the budget and freedom to make the movie they want to make. That’s what Cinema is about folks!

I wanted to rewatch Sinners a second in cinema but never did, and ended up regretting it. I want to watch 28 Years Later a second time and won’t make the same mistake again! Ticket booked for the rewatch on Sunday 😎

Why have nobody told me that 28 Years Later was a live action movie of Attack on Titans?!!

Watching How to train your Dragon now… the original, on bluray at home! Fuck the remake and everyone involved in creating this nonsensical ultra capitalistic ‘content’, and everybody who is watching it in theater!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#12 The Ritual (2017) is one of my favorite horror movie of the last decade, I just love David Bruckner’s work so much. Compelling story about friendship and trauma. And the creature design is splendid!

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning was very disappointing… I was already not a big fan of the previous M:I movie but this one is much worse. There are 2 great action scenes but it’s not enough to save the other 2 hours of poor scenario and lore bullshit. This franchise peaked with Fallout.

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#11 Attack the block (2011) is a British SF/Horror/Comedy and it’s awesome! It’s funny, scary and the design of the monsters is iconic! Those black furry creatures with glowing blue slimy teeth!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#10 Dawn of the dead (2004) is one of the few Zack Snyder movies that I truly like and probably my favorite zombie film! One of the best intro, generous action sequences, it’s always a fun watch!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#9 Companion (2025) is the latest horror addition to my movie collection. I saw it in theater and directly wanted to rewatch it a home asap. It’s a fun film! Sophie Tatcher is becoming a horror queen! 😈

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#8 Christine (1983) has always impressed me with its special effects. Even now, 40 years later, everything still looks awesome and I wonder how Carpenter managed to create such amazing visuals!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#7 Candyman, Candyman, Candyman (1992) remains Tony Todd’s most famous role (RIP 🙏🏼). So many iconic scenes and lines, Candyman’s design, his hook, the bees. Do you dare to say his name 5 times? Candyman…

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#6 Antlers (2021) was adapted from a short story (The Quiet Boy). It’s having a strong social message about poverty, abuse and how it’s passed on the next generation. But it’s also a wendigo movie!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#5 Haunt (2019) is a perfect Halloween movie! Halloween night, an extreme haunted house with masked actors. What could go wrong?! Well, the masks are creepy as hell, but what’s under is even worse!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#4 Splice (2009) is a sci-fi horror movie with Adrien Brody & Sarah Polley in a modern take on the classic Frankenstein’s Monster story. Strangely sexy at times and pretty scary during its 3rd act.

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#3 REC (2007) is a classic! I’m not a big fan of found footage movies but this one has a special place in my heart. It terrified me when I saw it the first time. The final act and reveal is pure horror!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#2 Dog Soldiers (2002) by Neil Marshall is my favorite werewolf movie. Fun, gory, great practical effects. British humour at its best. And spoiler alert, the dog survives at the end!

Presenting a random Horror movie from my collection. No particular reason, just spooky love! Day#1 Vermines/Infested (2023) Sébastien Vaniček is reviving the creepy spider movie with a french touch. Scary, funny & emotional at times, with a strong social message. Treat yourself and give it a try!

Sinners is… Wow! What did I just watch?! Is it a perfect film? No. But Coogler’s movie is having more ideas and creativity than the combine 99% of what Hollywood is shoving down our throats every year! Musical + vampires + KKK + Blues + Michael B. Jordan x2 = Cinema! Please go see it and enjoy.

The new season of Black Mirror is good! Even though I enjoyed the darkness of ep 1 “Common People”, it’s the emotional ep 3 “Hotel Reverie” and 5 “Eulogy” that truly worked best on me. Make Black Mirror British again!

Time to rewatch Overlord! A WW2 movie x Resident Evil mashup. It did not get much love when it was released in 2018 but I really like this one. Nazi + zombies, what more do you need people?! It’s a very fun B movie, with some good action and a couple of very scary/gory scenes! #filmsky #horror

I watched A Complete Unknown (2025) in theater yesterday and I had a great time! I don’t know much about Bob Dylan but I really enjoyed this story about the complicated life of a talented artist that refuses to be trapped and puts his freedom above everything else. Very inspiring! #filmsky

I’ve started to rewatch all the Daniel Craig’s James Bond movies during the last couple of weeks. I just have No Time To Die left… And, with the sad news we got about the franchise & Amazon, I feel like today is a good time to finally rewatch it and say goodbye. Rest in peace 007.

The Monkey (2025) did not work on me, at all. I was expecting a fun dark comedy but I only found silly jokes and too few fun kills. I’m not a big fan or Perkins. Longlegs was overhyped and I didn’t really enjoy what he made before either. I don’t think I’ll waste my time with his next ones.

Sébastien Da Cunha @sebd7.bsky.social · 20/02/2025
Let’s be honest, Amazon gaining creative control over the James Bond franchise means the end of 007. But it makes sense as we are living in a world where real Bond villains are in charge… No need for more fiction people, we are leaving the really shit with Elon Spectre Musk!

Paul Verhoeven’s Hollow Man (2000) is a very solid SF Thriller. First time watching it and I don’t understand the hate this movie gets (26% critic score on @rottentomatoes.com , 28% from audiences… come on!). The FX are great, actors are doing the job, it’s dark and bloody. What’s not to love?!

Underwater (2020) is so good. I liked it when it was released and it’s getting better at every rewatch. I don’t understand why it’s not praised more. It’s the only good “Alien-like” movie ever made. Under water, nobody will hear you scream! SF horror is just the best. I need more movies like that!

Oddity (2024) - 3,5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Finally got to watch Oddity. I heard a lot of good things about it and it was very good indeed! I was on edge during the entire movie. High tension, a few great jump-scares and a touch of black comedy, this is the perfect horror mix for me. Irish Horror never disappoints!

Paddington in Peru (2025) - 3,5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 This little bear never disappoints! Yes Paul King is not directing, and yes we do feel it a little. But man, this is still a top tier family movie. It’s funny, emotional and full of happy vibes. Forget about the world for 2 hours and grab a marmelade sandwich!

The Prestige (2006) - 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I haven’t rewatched this one in 10 years at least and wow, what a master piece it is! The more I think about it the more I realize that this movie is the one which truly started my passion for Cinena back then. “A movie can make you feel all those emotions? Wow”.

Companion (2025) - 3,5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 #companionmovie is a fun sci-fi thriller full of black humour with an underlaying, yet obvious, comment about patriarchy. Jack Quaid is very good at playing the love boy/toxic boyfriend and Sophie Thatcher is giving us another strong performance in an horror movie!

Wolf Man (2025) - 2,5/5 ⭐️⭐️💫 And here is my first big disappointment of 2025. I love werewolf movies and I really enjoyed Upgrade + Invisible Man from L.Whannel, so I had high expectations. But the few good ideas were not enough to save this movie which suffers from a weak scenario and poor acting.

Nosferatu (2024) - 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First movie I’m watching in cinema this year and… Wow! It was great! I really enjoyed the reinterpretation of the story and the actors were all very good. Lilly-Rose Depp is amazing! And what about the photography? Every shot is magnificent. R.Eggers is a master!

Here (2024) - 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m amazed by how bad this movie was received by the general audiences. It’s such a great piece of Cinema! Zemeckis is crafting something unique. It’s a big swing but it 100% worked on me. I wouldn’t be surprise to see this become a late classic once it reaches TV/Streaming.
