That's not even a furry problem, that's a human problem. In any sufficiently large grouping of people, whether by location, race, education, profession, religion or hobby, there will always be some bad apples. It is nearly impossible to avoid.

Actually I did use transit as I just didn't have the capacity to push my bike the remaining distance. The tech who worked on my bike said the tire wear looked good and didn't indicate that there was any concern about the tire.

That's good advice. I stopped riding as soon as I realized the tire had gone completely flat. I was even worried if the flat tire could safely support the weight of the bike itself as I walked alongside it for a mile.

I knew something was wrong as soon as I heard rhythmic clicking at the same rate as my wheels turned. I'm not sure if the outcome would have been any better had I stopped immediately. Once I removed the hook I discovered it was keeping the hole plugged. Prolly should have left it alone.

At least I learned how to use the bike rack on a public bus, something I have never had to do ever before in my life if you can believe that.

I was fortunate in that the place I stopped at to work on my bike was right next to a bus stop and by the time I decided I wasn't able to do the repair by myself there was a bus coming by in a couple minutes.
I struggled to get my bike stowed for a minute before I figured it out just as the driver was coming out to assist me.
By taking public transit I only had to walk my bike one mile to the bike shop.

This motherfuck just cost me $100.

Photo of me holding up the fishhook that popped my rear ebike tire alongside the now repaired tire. I have a patch kit so I tried to repair it myself as I knew exactly where the hole was but once I pulled the tire off far enough to expose the inner tube I could not locate the leak. So I took my bike to the shop I bought it from and asked them to fix it.
I wasn't aware that bike shops don't patch tires but instead they replace the inner tube and on my bike dismounting the rear wheel involves a lot more labor than a traditional bike.
If I had known that beforehand I would have just taken the bike to a tire shop or service station.

I got a call from a number that my phone labeled as spam but I usually don't get spam calls from that area code so I answered. A moment later I got a notification with an unusual sound. I glanced at my phone and it said warning scam behavior detected. Thanks but WTF!? I turned that off immediately.

My situation is very similar to yours: 165 pounds and slight muffin top. I'm comfortable but I wouldn't mind more muscle and less fat. A few years ago I started going on daily walks and over time I upgraded to daily jogs. My physique was starting to look ripped until my anxiety forced me to stop.

Android phone? Are you backing up text messages to the cloud? There should be a way to restore them. You might have to wipe your phone and it should restore everything from backup. Maybe there is an easier way, I haven't looked into this in years.

I had to restart Chrome today and lost all my manifest v2 extensions even with the command line workaround. I found another workaround that works for now but even this will stop working soon. Protip: put Chrome in full screen mode while following these instructions.

I saw a Tesla Cybercab on the road today. It claims to be an autonomous self-driving car with no outside mirrors or anyway to see inside from the rear. It's another ugly Tesla but at least it's not shaped like a dumpster on wheels.
