I remember counselors telling students who didn't come in with AP calc that they should take it at a community college instead of at UIUC. Calculus for Business/Premed etc where all just courses to punish people too arrogant to use the cheaper and easier community college course.

"Men. This is the end of the line. We must hold." "Sir they're still questioning if we really are 6 ft tall! We can't hold." "No. If we admit we're 5'11, then the 5'11 men have to admit they're 5'10, the 5'10 admit they're 5'9... the whole union position, down the line... No sir. We must hold."

The fact that I've purchased multiple papaya shredders and I have yet to become the kind of man who shreds their own papaya is just a glimpse into the depths of the depravity of my life.

Saw a man walking his border collie. Calmly standing next to aggressively dancing, red, 6-ft tall wacky-wild-inflatable-tube-man. Saying: "Look. See? We are friends. He is nice. We are safe." I think I need a dog to practice emotional co-regulation with.

Johnathan Haidt suggested that conservatives have a sense of purity as their moral foundation, that anything outside the normality of their own lives is impure and disgusting which I guess is sort of a principle.
