I can see how these are good for people with genuine need, both visual & neuro-ophthalmic I'm just not convinced that the every day human will add another device to their inventory I think we get to AI active TV screens round the home before this #buysamsung uk.finance.yahoo.com/quote/005930...

Useful yes But whose going to put these things on all day - what's the point? We use the open web/apps etc when we need to, its not an always on medium for most of the world. And is there that much demand for this new tech that we need to replace our existing devices with eyewear? Not for me!

Still live.... Its not a hack, dropped domain exploit still at large. UK traffic is cloaked so they get the illegal casinos everyone gets an error page and I'll presume Google gets a nice clean page

100

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 24/09/2026

BTW the site is advertising illegal casinos so all the checks that go on to limit this tuff slipping into the organic SERPs seems to have been forgotten when it comes to AI overviews

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 24/09/2026

How do you suppose a dropped domain pushes its way to number 1 in AI overviews for best bingo searches with no web history wombwithaviewgrimsby.co.uk/online-bingo/ FFS Sure we're all very proud of Google's AI overviews!!! @divingfor.fun @johnmu.com @methode.bsky.social @glenngabe.bsky.social

GEO for some becomes kind of a necessary evil when they rank no 1 in organic but are nowhere in ai overviews or chat responses. Becaue Google favors brands and can be duped by spam, so the unrewarded inbetweeners are left scratching their heads as to what to do. Just 1 example i've seen fwiw.

000

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 15/09/2026

AI probably redesigning the SERPs unrestrained... there's so many random changes lately, these aren't the kinds of things designers sporadically ship IMO

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 09/09/2026

Same with links... this site is attracting junk links. Google must seriously think these links mean "popular site" until in a few weeks time when I expect this site to drop I'm pretty convinced these delays are Google throttling spam detection systems to distribute resources to other G services

000

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 09/09/2026

Is this Google's petty response to EU legislations? To just turn off all spam filtering? I think we're going to see more if this!

000

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 09/09/2026

BUY LINKS everyone... they work until they don't! Doesn't matter how shit they are.... Google spam filters run about 8 weeks behind everything else, probably to save on the energy bills, so they can pay for AIOs When your site dies.... just get another one and do it all again

Constant Search Console Bugs, GA4 Data Lags, Discovery Slow Loading, Shipping Broken Models This never happened when there was actual PEOPLE building the "stuff" - This is Google! Any idea of the frequency of bugs that you're reporting these days @rustybrick.com compared to the pre-AI era????

☝️☝️☝️ More junk ranking after the spam update @glenngabe.bsky.social using a canonical tag the opposite way to the previous hack... using an old expired domain tag, on brand new domain Its quite laughable that SEOs have figured this out and Google engineers hadn't

Ranking URL: www.new-online-casinos-uk.casino/new-uk-casin... Canonical: <link rel="canonical" href="https://www.mcdonaldswrapofday.co.uk/new-uk-casinos-no-deposit-bonus/"> Honestly at this stage this an insult to SEOs who "do the right things" @methode.bsky.social @johnmu.com @divingfor.fun

Thats my best guess (and i hear on the grapevine, viral traffic is the current no.1 weapon in the blackhat playbook). Happy to jump on a call if you want to have a 30min dive into my world?

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 26/08/2026

Nothing to see here... just a chart of the endless cycle of brand new domains being pumped with fake traffic allowing them to instantly (infinitely) outrank real companies in this search space.... for mega YMYL queries Meanwhile legitimate "well behaved" websites are shunted to page 2 and beyond

110

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 26/08/2026

High brow - Long form Low brow - Random waffle 👌🤣🤣

110

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 26/08/2026

It also devalues AI content that has been heavily grounded in real opinion. Creators with dyslexia for example.... I might give a tool 1000 words of my random waffle and ask it to make it "readable" - if that's watermarked, I guess it undermines my original creativity.

Are these the hidden gems that Danny Sullivan spoke about post HCU, the unexplainable miracles that not even Google engineers can explain. How this ranks is the easy part, its a crawlable webpage. How it outranks websites designed to specifically belong in this search space, is mystifying!

010

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 26/08/2026

Something stinks! How can a parked 123reg domain landing page outrank real sites? Is Google more of a punishing algorithm now than a reward system? When you have so many conflicting systems, the balance eventually gets skewed and no-seo pages inadvertently rank bingobonuses.me.uk/lander?oref=...

Its a tricky topic... AI Content Brief A: Write me 5 paragraphs on crawl budget AI Content Brief B: Here's 5 things I think could improve crawl budget, can you put them into paragraphs and cite these 5 blog posts in each one as sources I've used for reference 🤔Do they both get the same watermark?

Another new day when my client is shoved off page 1 because of a bunch of new junk domains are pumped with fake viral traffic and now sit top of every query in the search range. @johnmu.com @methode.bsky.social @divingfor.fun Its almost infinite visibility loss for them while this continues.

000

Martin SEO McGarry @searchassistance.co.uk · 07/08/2026

A new day another different dropped domain surging into the top spot... this time pumped into the snippet This query never has a rich snippet. These only appear when there's burst of traffic, which of course is fake traffic
