Probably most fun I’ve ever had at a hockey game was seeing the St. John’s Maple Leafs play at Mile One Centre during the NHL lockout. I wish we had AAA baseball in eastern Canada

I wouldn’t put it past Doug. Matt lives north of Bloor, west of Bathurst and he bikes all the time. So that fits.

He took Dundas to City Hall (he almost ran me down once as I was getting off the 505). But as premier, he doesn’t have to drive; he has a detail who drives him the few days he shows up to work.

There used to be a frequent electric trolley bus route here until the 1990s. Today, the 26 Dupont bus is infrequent and unreliable.

Ah, Dupont Street, where the bit of density is put up against the railway and terraced down to appease the Annex.

Doug Ford’s war on bike lanes isn’t about traffic—it’s part of a global right-wing backlash to vilify urban residents and defend fossil fuel interests. @breachmedia.ca dove into the politics of cycling, and debunked some myths along the way www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoCz...

I also wonder if the city didn’t extend the bike infrastructure west of Jane Street, would we have had this destructive culture war along the rest of Bloor, Yonge, and University?

One can forget how affluent and conservative this neighbourhood is until you walk it. Luxury SUV drivers blowing through stop signs, teenagers wearing private school uniforms (ones that you definitely know of) coming out of the subway, and plenty of Bam Bam for mayor signs.

While documenting Bloor Street West in the Kingsway neighbourhood, I was almost nailed by a Range Rover driver at Bloor and Brentwood, who didn’t stop at the sign/stop line before going over the crosswalk. This is really common here. Only one of the drivers in this stopped properly.

Just came across an AI generated video on YouTube about TTC streetcar history & it's absolute garbage. Most images are fake (if you know anything about streetcars, it's painfully obvious). It's already got 16k views in 5 days. It's sad to think people get their knowledge from this trash. 1/2

This is frightening and will set a precedence that aims at removing mostly racialized people from American society Funny thing is these efforts have unintended consequences such as Melania possibly facing the same fate
