For Star Trek Day today, I went with the "not so subtle work-cosplay." You can do whatever you want when you put on a blank suit.

Me, dressed in a Strange New Worlds era Starfleet Command uniform, but with a black suit jacket on top and the Starfleet badge affixed to the suit lapel.

Prepping to build a pizza oven. When I smoked the brisket, I noticed an unpleasant smell of cooking dirt/bugs/spiderweb. It didn't get in the brisket but I think it could get into a pizza. Got about 110 bricks of various sizes, plus some cinder blocks that are very convenient for building chimneys.

I spilled beer on my keyboard, so I had to get a new one. Apparently, I'd really rather spend $120 than bother cleaning a keyboard. It is so wonderfully clacky. I'm trying to figure out how the big, red "B" and "A" keys work, because they don't even seem to fire key events in my code.

I love my back yard. I know for a fact these three are siblings. Two boys and a girl. I've been watching them grow up for the last year. I especially love watching them chase the deer around like a bunch of idiots.

#1, which has the most sand, crumbled fairly easily. The chunks seem solid, so I think this was a failure of layer adhesion. There's other evidence of delamination between the bulk of the material and the surface that I burnished.

One cracked really badly, but I think it actually did that when it was drying. Each was a different proportion of sand and clay. The one with the least sand is making the best ringing sound when I flick it.
