Israel’s Central Elections Committee voted Wednesday to disqualify Mansour Abbas’ United Arab List slate from running in the election, as well as the Joint List, which consists of the parties Hadash, Ta’al and Balad. In its decisions, the committee claimed some members of the parties “reject Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.”

Turkey denies military delegation visited Syrian base before Israeli strike

Israel escalated its rhetoric against Turkey on Thursday, two days after it struck the Abu al-Duhur air base in northwestern Syria eight times over alleged Turkish presence. On X, Defense Minister Katz said President Erdoğan "is dragging Turkey into dangerous adventures in Syria," and should "continue delivering empty, delusional speeches against Israel" rather than test its resolve to defend itself.

For his part, PM Netanyahu posted a video of an interview in which he claims that Israel saw that "Turkey intends to establish a presence at an airport south of its line near Aleppo, and we conveyed a message… apparently they didn't hear it well enough, so we made sure they understood it better."
