it DEFO drags at the beginning though...I've unfortunately been stuck at the beginning for so long....this is a new chara I made so I could experience again from the beginning cuz I was stuck in ARR for like 5 years but IT'S NOT ANY BETTER...

i feel like...it's the...flowery english that makes it even harder to process?? like i need a stupid version of the text....soemtimes I find it's easier to understand if I just listen to it (since i have it in JP voices) so maybe I'll switch the whole interface to Japanese...

anyway not getting comic fiesta this year was weirdly blessing in disguise because i'm so burnt out from my job that i can't imagine having to come up with enough new merch to justify that booth setup cost

Sure, I do sometimes turn a modest profit at cons. Is it worth the 12 hours shifts for 4 days in a row including setup and packing? Probably not. On top of that, if I didn't have a FT Job, I couldn't afford the UPFRONT costs...production, storage solutions, transport/food...

#SuitYourselfCollab Thank you @andariya.art for inviting me to join the collab and this wonderful opportunity to dress my OCs in suits! 🥰 For the collage, please check out the 1st reply. Also in thread: Everyone else’s works once posted and a textless version 🫶 #OC #OCsky #lobsession #lanart

My OC Noel and Julian. They are posing for a Photoshoot in front of a night city-scape. Plants Focus are surrounding them. Noel sits leisurely on a chair resting his chin on one hand meanwhile Julian stands on the left side beside him and rests his hands on his shoulders and holds up Noel's tie.
Both wear suits. Julian smiles and Noel looks at the viewer neutrally.
The whole illustration is made up like a magazine cover, so there is text surrounding them. The magazine title is "OC Style". The issue is 69.
The magazine claims to be "The last word in OC Yapping". The title story is about "Noel Sturm - A driving force in medical informatics". Other articles seem to delve into the following:
"Fashion? His boyfriend decides"
"Julian Sommer-Rodrigues - Healthy and fit"
"Hidden thoughts"
"Secrets to when their story starts"
"Campus stories"
The whole artwork is drawn and designed by Lancha (lancha.bsky.social" - Do not use for AI training.
The Cover design was heavily inspired by the covers of the British version of "GQ Style".

As someone that works in customer service (albeit in the quality assurance side of things and not customer facing), trust me when I say that any survey you provide with feedback for the poor experience is truly taken into account! I'm glad you got a better second experience though!

Thats a wrap on Comic Fiesta 2024! I'm exhausted but super proud of what I managed to achieve, and so happy to have been able to see my amazing friends again and just meet so many new april cult members i mean fans i mean customers. This year has been extraordinary. Otsukare!

A photograph of Morgan Mei's booth at comic fiesta, it has a lot of books and charms displayed, a wall of comics, and also a lifesize April standee

Me on an hourly basis

A three-panel comic. In the first panel, a simple humanoid figure is shown, seated and writing on a piece of paper. They are smiling, and the words above their head say, "Enjoying hyperfixation".

In the second panel, they have dropped their pencil in shock. They look rather distressed and seem to be dissociating. Large red letters read: "I AM SO CRINGE"

In the final panel, the humanoid figure has gotten over their existential crisis and is back to happily writing on the piece of paper.

it's the different environment with limited stimulation + "you spent an exorbitant amount of money in exchange for space rental (technically) so you are being wasteful if you don't justify it" asian mentality that gets me going

i feel like this is such a me problem, but i can never really work on art at home...there are so many other things i could be doing...like gaming or watching tv or reading or doom scrolling..... so i tend to work better when i spend money on overpriced coffee at a cafe or sth

i have no catalogue yet because i have no merch- /hj depending on how fast the printshop can do my last min photocards i may only have minimal new stuff...but anyway most of my new stuff from AMG didn't sell so they're technically new 🤡
