So far, Skywatcher hasn’t engaged in transparency, only in marketing. Their story changes every time someone from the team speaks. First it was a new effort, now it started multiple years ago doing work for the USG. How will their story change next week?

FYI.

Around the same time the movie "Battlefield Earth" came out. It was produced by Scientologists, at least partly with the idea to promote Scientology. Before that L. Ron Hubbard was only known to a bunch of sci-fi geeks, people didn't know much about Scientology, many hadn't even heard about it.
After the movie crashed and burned, people started asking questions about this cult, and the most famous Scientologist in the world took a lot of heat for being so publicly associated with it. There is a reason why John Travolta, who produced the movie and is also a Scientologist, avoids being so public about it. There are many celebrity Scientologists, but most keep quiet about it.
