When Herbert had receivers like Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, he was great. Now that he doesn’t have receivers that can consistently win 50/50 balls, he’s not great. ☹️

And anytime a ball hits the roof or rafters of a ballpark and helps the home team, I will definitely suggest the team benefited from an aspect of their stadium that wasn’t intended to be part of the action and is not a regular part of most ballparks.

A terrible job by the umps all game long, and it was happening to both teams, so I can’t blame that for the Padres loss. I’ve never seen so many calls overturned. This is the postseason, and they called it like rank amateurs.

The Monster is an outfield wall. The game of baseball naturally has balls hitting outfield walls as part of regular play. Every ballpark has outfield walls. Retractable roofs are not a standard feature for every team, nor were they ever intended to affect the course of the game so directly.

Today, Schmitt angrily accused Smith of making false accusations about Schmitt being at a basketball game, but he was actually at a different game. Shortly thereafter, it was pointed out to Schmitt that he is the one who made the accusation against Smith. He said the last names are “too close.” 😞

Yes, there was no clear view, and he probably did not get it all the way past the goal line. Perhaps the Aztecs felt guilty about it so they gave up the safety on the very next play. 😂 It was like the offense was trying to hand it to TSU after that great goal line stand by the D.

When the refs put one second back on the clock, Aztecs fans had to be thinking about that Michigan v. Western Michigan ending. At least in this case, it was clear there was a second left on the clock. Thankfully, SDSU hung onto preserve a great comeback victory. Maybe this will turn things around.
