Update… Ethan had many appts, I got letters from surgeon, audiologist, head of dept, insurance, and more, advocated daily for months and… Ethan has the hearing aids he needs. This is significant. Life changing. Necessary. Deserved. Grateful.

I was asked to give a motivational speech to government employees for the state who help children with medical conditions to receive services, resources, and support. I did my 30 minute speech/presentation with 20 minutes of questions after it and it went really well!

My elderly, unhealthy mom fell and had hip surgery. Spending 6 hours a day the last 5 days watching her in the hospital deteriorate, dehydrated, malnourished, and fading away. It’s heartbreaking. Nothing prepares you for this.

Following 9/11, every store in the mall was selling shirts with American flags saying Never Forget. All proceeds went to help NY & families affected by the terrorist attack. Americans supported Americans. No politics. Just love and support. #NeverForget

My friend’s husband was a firefighter on 9/11 in NY. Only married a short time with a baby, he developed cancer and passed away shortly after his heroic work at ground zero. Not an isolated story but it’s one of someone I care about. #NeverForget

On 9/11 I was getting ready for work & my mom called to put on the news. When I got to work, a coworker & I called non stop to NY to check on family. All phone lines were down. My boss said it is happening on the otherwise of the country and doesn’t affect us. #NeverForget

Yesterday I gave public testimony to the board of supervisors regarding funding for those with disabilities/medical conditions like my son. The resolution passed. This resolution will be sent to trump/various dept in gov ensuring the allocation of funds to the most vulnerable.

Started a garden at home. Tomatoes, zucchini, green onion, bell peppers, lemons, rosemary, basil, parsley, mint, carrots, and celery. Using what I grew for home cooked meals is rewarding.
