This little frog is definitely in the pink, and a sunshade of petals is always fashionable 🐸 🌿 #amphibians #frogs

A small brown and green frog peeks out from between the soft pink petals of a water lily, surrounded by green lily pads in warm sunlight.

Hummingbird hawk-moth rushing from flower to flower. Very tough to photograph because these guys are so fast! 🦋 🌿 #insects #bugsky #switzerland

This cheeky little wall lizard has found the perfect spot to 1) enjoy the view of the unsuspecting passersby, 2) keep cosy in the warm metal pipe and 3) hide when the camera of doom comes too close for comfort 🦎 🌿 #lizards #reptiles #herps #eidechsen

Wall lizard peeking curiously out from a rusted metal pipe, with its head, a front leg and green and brown markings visible against a softly blurred background.

I was walking past a flowerbed when I saw a flurry of movement from the corner of my eye. It was a very busy hummingbird hawk-moth zipping from flower to flower. Enjoy the recording! 🦋 🌿 #insects #bugsky #switzerland

🇨🇭 It's the 1st of August! For our Swiss National Day today, I'm posting a ladybug, one of the most popular insects hereabouts and regarded as a symbol of good luck 🐞 🌿 #bugsky #switzerland #schweiz

A bright red ladybird with three visible black spots climbs the tip of a green leaf in bright sunlight. The background is a soft, out-of-focus wash of green, making the insect stand out sharply against the foliage.

Thank you! My first guess is also carder, especially with that ruff and fluff!

Not sure what kind of bee this is - maybe a carder bee? Is there a bee expert or entomologist who can identify it? 🐝 🌿 #bees #switzerland

Thanks for keeping us up to date, @elenarossini.com! I really wanted to give W a fair chance. But from Switzerland, the onboarding and verification have been very buggy and support has been silent for days. Ironically, that’s a difficult way to build the trust that sits at the heart of W’s vision.

Bei mir is es auch so. Anmeldung mit NFC wiederholt fehlgeschlagen. Dann halt mit Foto und Selfie. Auch null Erfolg. Mail an Support? Keine Antwort. Tja. Vielleicht versuche ich es im nächsten Jahr wieder😂 Bluesky hat das anders und geschickt gelöst.

Finally! After ages, an eight-legged friend. Quite sure this is a wasp spider (argiope bruennichi) because of its stripes and the pattern woven into its web. Photographed at my favourite pond 🌿 🕷️ @britishspiders.bsky.social #spiders #bugsky #arachnids

Thank you 🙂 It was sitting on the window and I zoomed in on it with the camera. If I came right up to the glass, it would wiggle its antennae at me and I was concerned it might hop away, so I kept a small distance.
