Played the Silver Pines demo and I can't remember the last time a game grabbed me like this. Incredible stuff.

Someone recommend me a new keyboard. What are the youths typing on these days?

Been doing an economy game as Spain and every time I establish a new trade route I feel mad with power

At that stage in the Civ Addiction Cycle™️ where all I’m thinking about is adjacency bonuses and resource slots

Hmm, if they blow a 4-0 lead…

The Ducks are opening their season against the Vegas and I’m immediately angry. Hockey season is truly back

Demo was good. Looking forward to this one quite a bit

Anno’s a good one! I was hooked on it for a while. Also, I’m jealous of your Pompeii visit!

Resident Evil was super fun, no-frills horror. Really cool RE-ass monster design. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

This game rightly gets a lot of shit but I have some fond memories of Janky Ass Zelda

Sam Desatoff @sdesatoff.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Now that I’m the master’s program I have virtually no time for games anymore so naturally I’m playing Starfox Adventures. This feels like a good use of my time

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear this, Josh. I’m sending you all the good vibes I can muster. Hang in there, pal.

I fear it has dislodged a Lost-style cork inside my body that was holding back all my old man video game opinions

The StarCraft announcement is about to turn me into a boomer

Finally got around to the Final Fantasy Resonance demo. Overall it’s 100% my jam, even if all the meta reference are cringy as hell. I’ll gladly admit the nostalgia baiting has worked on me

Sam Desatoff @sdesatoff.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Mostly I’m excited to play a classic-style Zelda again 🤷‍♂️

Hey man, you have a discord or something where we can connect? I’d love to chat about history stuff sometime

110

Sam Desatoff @sdesatoff.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Thanks! I haven’t been shoehorned into any specific era just yet! I’ve only just started the program a couple weeks ago. I’ll take any advice you have to offer, btw!

Just noticed that Kabb stands on a little box and now I'm more protective of him

Going for a history degree. Currently studying the early modern period. Dense stuff so far.

Anyway I’m rewarding myself for surviving by playing Zero Company for a couple hours

Week two of the master's program feels like a fucking skill check, like Margit the Fell Omen just pounded me on the skull and shouted "you sure about that" in Tim Robinson's voice

I’m afraid that Lanterns is a good television program

I described it to a friend as “Stephen King writes Parks and Rec.” Genuinely one of my favorite shows in years.

I feel weird not participating in the GTA zeitgeist, like I’m doing something wrong, and I do not care for that feeling

“You can fit four GTA 5s into GTA 6” sir I have approximately 13 free minutes a day why would you do this
