Played a full game of Bonebreakers, and I'm imploring board gamers to check this wargame out. The action combo system is great; leaping around the board, twatting skeletons into crates or down holes. Excited to see how it develops beyond the free quick-start pack: www.patreon.com/posts/170539...

Trying Bonebreaker by Inkfox Games. Quickstart rules and this lovely arena sheet were handed out free at #SpruCon yesterday. There's something really cool here. Feels similar to turn based tactics games like Tactical Breach Wizards. Lots of shoving terrain and enemies to set up action combos.
Photo of a gameboard. The board is a large grid room with wooden flooring and is full of crates. Miniatures and dice are moving about the room as heroes fight to carry treasure chests to the exits. In the corner of the photo are the quick start rules for Bonebreaker with an illustration of a hooded rogue kicking a skeleton into a pillar where its bones shatter.

After making an A4 #Greathelm board earlier in the summer and I'm doscovering the additional benefits of it as a photo backdrop. Most recently, this Vampire Hunter for The Silver Bayonet.

Thanks, a good reminder that finished is better than perfect. Stopped worrying about all the weird imperfections visible up close once they were in play on the table.

Primed the Vets years ago and something went wrong, the surface was hydrophobic, literally repelling paint. Rather than strip and re-do I tried a heavy drybrush and thick speedpaint. Not pretty but it was satisfying to get them table ready at last for Chopper Base Open. #StarWarsLegion

Pelicans, U-Wings, Valkyries. Transports are some of the coolest ships in sci-fi and Undaunted: Revolution lives up to that. You can pull off some really satisfying turns scooping up and dropping mechs off around the board. Transports are cool.

Resurrecting a Netrunner playmate I won a decade ago (☠️) at an X wing tournament. Backing was falling to pieces and it had done a stint as the surface of my hobby desk. A rinse out, a bit of Poundland elastic glue to seal the back, and it seems ready to finally be used for its intended purpose.

Been playing a bunch of Startup format #Netrunner recently. Tried out a standard deck for the first time that was leant to me at a local meet up. I've since been giving it a go on Jnet and didn't realise it was possible to become so tagged. I want the corp to know it was me.

The extent to which people sanitise historical resistance & protest is always so wild to me. In one breath celebrate a protest movement from history. And in the next criticise a contemporary one for being “polarising” with their actions (which are pretty fucking mild in the grand scheme of things)

Pratchett’s politics evolved over the series, because he wrote them over the course of most of his life, and his own thoughts evolved. This does not make his politics “hard to pin down” unless what you’re trying to do is avoid describing the conclusions he reached about, say, trans rights, HELEN.

Watched The Wicker Man for the first time. If the remote cult thing doesn't work out for Lord Summer Isle, he could do a great line in escape rooms or detective games.
