Another concept piece as I try to figure out how to improve my backgrounds

Woke up at midnight and couldn't fall back asleep, went on a random browsing spree, saw one of the worst videos I've seen in my life. Time for bed I guess.

I really wanna get better at drawing simple, appealing backgrounds before I draw any more comic pages. I also need to get better at making sure the canvas isn't flipped when I draw buttons on shirts and coats. I screw that up *a lot*

"Your face is a needless risk!" Hey, it's another comic featuring my OCs! Sasha usually makes the plans but when it's something simple like walking to the next town, it couldn't hurt to let someone else take the lead.... Or so you would think...

A comic page featuring my OCs: Sasha (a mage girl), Ken (an elven thief), and Bo (a fighter).

Panel 1: Sasha and Ken are walking through a forest while Bo hops across rocks behind them.
Ken: Now this is what I'm talking about! And you wanted to take the road.
Sasha: "Wanted? I still want to take the road, Ken. We weren't all raised in a tree, you know.

Panel 2: Sasha continues speaking while Bo is currently hanging upside down from a tree branch.
Sasha: Back me up here, Bo.
Bo: Whoo! Trees!
Sasha: Thanks, bud.

Panel 3: An irritated Sasha speaks to Ken who has a smug expression on his face.
Sasha: This is a needless risk! What about visibility? Monsters and beasts would be easier to spot from the road.
Ken: Not if you know the forests. And I know the forests. You see, animals leave subtle signs of their presence.

Panel 4: Ken looks at the nearby surroundings and finds a path of devastation suggesting a very dangerous creature is nearby. Ken looks surprised and very scared.
Ken: ...

Panel 5: Same shot but Ken is now speaking calmly.
Ken: Mistakes may have been made. I'm big enough to admit that...

Working on another background piece and trying for the life of me to save it. It's a weird one--didn't fully think it through before starting. Found some brush settings that I like more, but I still don't know how to enjoy drawing backgrounds. Most of it can't be done freehand, very mind-numbing

[Vent/blog post on a blog website] I've had no reason to draw anymore. Doesn't feel like burn out, just feels like I'm "done". Plying random mutuals with gifts and finishing that comic were the few things keeping me going. Hope the spark comes back some day, but I guess I don't care if it doesn't.

panel 1: nobody knows it, but i've actually been really tiny this whole time. (the artist, a very tiny person with curly hair and glasses, sitting on an eraser next to a ruler leaning against a wall, with a dollar bill on the ground next to him)
panel 2: they don't make art supplies small enough for me to use... (the artist next to a sketchbook, struggling to pick up a mechanical pencil from the eraser end)
panel 3: ...so i have to put a lot of effort into each line. that's why i work so slowly. (the artist lifting the pencil with his whole body, shakily drawing a line in the sketchbook)

Finally gave and bought CSP after pirating it for so long. I think my tablet feels more responsive with this official, updated version, though I might just be trying to cope with the fact that I spent $45 on a piece of software I already had.

(personal shit) I don't know if it's all the medication my psychiatrist is urging me to take but I sleep all day, I'm still exhausted, and my brain feels like goo. I'm really bummed out man. Trying to make things better but it's so difficult when I can't keep my eyes open. Feel very isolated
