Digital illustration of four figures in a cave. In the foreground is a human dressed in black and white robes, restrained by a pair of futuristic handcuffs. Behind them are three aliens, the first wielding a spear, the second crouched to speak with the human, and the third watching on nervously. There are puddles of water on the cave floor, reflecting light flowing in from the entrance above.

My piece for the amazing Ishtar Illustrated zine, showcasing our favourite lore entries from across Destiny 1 and 2. The full zine is available here: drive.google.com/file/d/14Nl4... #destiny2 #destiny2art #ishtarillustrated

A single page with four horizontal panels. The first panel asks "Anyone you want to remember?" and shows a bright sunny day where a little girl holds the hand of a Guardian as they walk with a crowd. The second panel asks "What will you do when we beat back the Darkness?" as Ikora, holding a paper lantern, leads a crowd under a shadowed archway toward open fields where Lord Saladin is waiting.
The third panel asks "When there is peace?". Zavala is setting up emerald tassels, Shaxx stands monolithic over a swarm of children, and Ana uses Solar to light up more paper lanterns. It's sunset, and the Tower and its walls looms in the distance. The fourth panel says "Make sure you walk the row. It's getting dark". Saint-14 looks down at a lit lantern in his hands, while more lanterns float into the starlit night sky in the background.

A digital illustration of a scene from the lorebook Purpose in Destiny 2. Eris and Drifter sit together within the Derelict, Eris's hand gently on Drifter's arm while he puts his hand over hers. They are illuminated as a focal point, the space around them dim.

A digital illustration of a scene taken from the lore on the Eidolon Pursuant armor set, specifically the legs. Eris stands in the foreground looking upwards and holding a bundle of egregore, from which is pouring a swirling, colorful smoke. Drifter stands behind her, watching the scene.

absolutely thrilled to share my submission for #IshtarIllustrated !! I drew a section of Imponent IV from Marasenna. thank you so much to @h3xxthev3xx.bsky.social and the rest of the mod team for putting this together. link to the zine below! #Destiny2Art #Destiny2AOTW #antleredartworks #MaraSjur

A comic page. It takes place at sunrise on an airstrip. Panel 1: Sjur Eido sprints across the tarmac, discarding a flight helmet. She runs towards Mara Sov, shouting "My Lady!". Panel 2: Sjur Eido, dressed in a navy flight suit, kneels. She says: "As I have fought your brother to a tie, I leave my fate in your hands. Panel 3: A tight shot of Sjur's face. She looks terribly sad. Puffs of cloudy breath leave her mouth as she talks. She says: "Be more kind to me than you were to my Lady the Diasyrm." Panel 4: A downangle shot of Mara Sov. She looks at Sjur with an expression that could be judgemental, but could say nothing at all. She wears a coat with a fur collar and sleeves. Panel 5: Tight shot of Mara's face. She says "Rise, Sjur Eido." Panel 6: The dialogue from panel 5 bleeds into this panel to show that Sjur is reacting directly to Mara's words. Sjur's face is pure shock.

A full page illustration. Sjur Eido, kneeling, stares up at Mara Sov in shock as Mara offers her hand to Sjur. The scene is backlit by a glorious winter sunrise in pink, gold, and purple. In the top half of the illustration, over fluffy clouds, the words "Let us take the stars together" are lettered.

"I haven’t found a strict, eternal proof. We might yet be wrong.” For my entry into the Ishtar Illustrated zine, I drew one of my favorite lore pieces, a page from the Books of Sorrow, "Verse 5:2 — strict proof eternal" #IshtarIllustrated #Destiny2AOTW #Destiny2Art #myart

Panel 1: Wide shot of the Hive fleet in space. Oryx and Savathûn walk on the hull of a warship. Oryx: “I have a gift for you,”
P2: Savathûn, pensive: “Is it the sword logic I need to go into the Deep, and take your power for myself?”
P3: Shot of a Taken Hydra. Oryx: “It’s a Vex I captured. Quria, Blade Transform. It made an attempt to puncture my throne. I thought you might enjoy studying it.”
P4: The three Osmium sisters, suffused in pinkish light. “Quria contains a Vex attempt to simulate me. It might generate others — you, perhaps, or Xivu Arath. I’ve left it some will of its own, so it can surprise you.”
P5: Savathûn turns. "I suppose it’ll blow up and kill me,” Savathûn grouses. “Or let the machines into my throne, where they’ll start turning everything into clocks and glass.”
P5: Oryx, cheerful. “If it kills you, then you deserve to die.” Narration: Oryx says it with a quiet thrill, a happy thrill, because it is good to say the truth.

Panel 1: Savathûn's hand scratching away space revealing blank page underneath. Sav: “I don’t have a strict proof yet, you know. This thing we believe — that we’re liberating the universe by devouring it, that we’re cutting out the rot, that we’re on course to join the final shape — I haven’t found a strict, eternal proof. We might yet be wrong.”
Narration: Savathûn strokes the void with one long claw and space-time groans beneath her touch.

P2: Narration: Oryx looks at her and for a moment, just a moment, he is nostalgic, he is sentimental. He thinks, imagine the years behind us, the things we’ve done. And yet being old doesn’t feel like a scar, does it? It hasn’t left me dull. I feel alive, alive with you, and every time I step back into this world from my throne I feel like I’m two years old again, at the bottom of the universe, looking up.

Image of a wistful Oryx looking out into the distance overlaid by an image of the three sisters as children on the beaches of Fundament.

Panel 1: Oryx's hand is reaching out and caressing Savathûn's cheek. Narration: But he says: Oryx: “Sister, it’s us. We’re the proof, we the Hive: if we last forever, we prove it, and if something more ruthless conquers us, then the proof is sealed.”
Savathûn: "I like that, that's elegant."

P2: Wide shot of empty space, the Hive fleet gone. Narration: Although of course she has had this thought before.
