The name and sign are what drew me in the first time years ago, and it was absolutely the right choice. Sampled from other shops in the neighbourhood (there are many, some better than others) but the vibes at this one are unmatched

In Toronto for less time (and later) than in previous years but I was still able to make my annual pilgrimage to my favourite bubble tea shop in north york: "DONT YELL AT ME" They were out of what was needed for the Tiramisu tea I like to get, so I got an Osmanthus Tea Latte. (Delicious!)

Gave into the temptation of the crowd and went to emeri matcha bar on main street, there is always a giant line. Got the classic matcha latte (very tasty) and their only baked good, "salt bread" which is nicely buttery, a little crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside - also very good.

Post a cartoon you remember that (you think) no one else remembers Dr. Snuggles (1979) A dreamlike cartoon about a friendly inventor and his various anthropomorphic animal/tree/robot pals. It's wild to me that I can find stuff about this on the internet at all.

Okay back to Bubblegum Crash - the premise seems to be that Boomers (aka replicants aka androids) and their more robotic-looking cousins have achieved commercial saturation, sold as cheap labour, but they're not very good. Remind you of anything?

Same as previous image, but the lines have been cleaned in bold black. There are light blue lines indicating the flames, and some of the rough lines from the previous image can be seen in blue as well.

Brome is now fully coloured, and some lines for the background have been laid down.

s1e38 has some hilarious drawings AND some sick-ass ski fashion. in a way i am glad i'm watching sailor moon deep into adulthood because now i actually care about fashion and can appreciate a funny drawing even if it doesn't animate very much (that was a problem i had with anime when i was a kid)
