Thanks lol. The set I have came with a 0.2mm, 0.35mm, and 0.5mm (plus a 1mm "graphic" marker, a brush type, and a 0.7mm pencil). I used the 0.2 and 0.35. Looks like they also make as small as 0.15 and as large as 0.7.

I’m not sure how similar the formulas are, but I tried a Pigma Micron on this SD. My work here was awful, but I did like using the Micron. I originally was looking for the Multiliner, but I think the Micron was cheaper and easier to get at the time.

It's been a while, but I've started out this year with a couple pretty cool #gunpla builds. I finished the Helios today. I started with a light blue base for pre-shading all the white parts. The Gouf Custom has been finished for a couple months. I made several changes to the Gatling shield.

I really enjoyed it and hope to see it again this week. The artwork is fantastic. There isn't much to the characters yet, but I'm interested to see how they develop in the series. It was cool seeing the #GQuuuuuuX do things I don't remember seeing any other Gundam do.

I mask the joint connections and clear parts, gloss clear coat, and let it cure. I've only panel lined with acrylic washes and Gundam markers, but my understanding is you'll be fine with the enamel panel liners, too. I'd go easy on the thinner or test on something unimportant first to be safe.

My first Master Grade #gunpla kit, and first pre-shading attempt, is done. There is plenty I could do differently or better, but I’m pleased with the results. It’s nice to add a granddaddy Gundam to the shelf.

I built the Gundam Schwarzette in between coats on the other kits. The Witch from Mercury #gunpla continue to be amazing. I slightly damaged the saber blade, so I used it as an excuse to make a replacement that I airbrushed a more anime accurate blue.

I love my RG Astray Red Frame. I have the other two in my backlog. Schwarzette will be the easiest. Barbatos will take the most time (guessing 30-40 hours). If you go with that Astray, just be careful with the frame and small parts.

Unicorn in 2022 was my first series; not a good entry point. A year later, I decided my Mecha Spider-Man figure needed an opponent and remembered the awesome #Gundam fight with Mechagodzilla in Ready Player One. Researching #gunpla helped me discover Witch from Mercury and I was hooked.

I asked my wife to select my next kit from my backlog; She chose the SDEX Rising Freedom. I also pulled out the Astray Red Frame and snapped it together. Now — along with my first master grade in the queue — I have a lot of painting to do.

I recently completed my high grade Aerial. I thought this was going to be a casual build, but I ended up breaking out the paints for a few parts. The color accents included in the SIMP decal set turned out nice.

Humidity is no fun. I've often coated at sub-assembly. You can let limbs dry, bend joints, and spray again if you need the coverage. If you spray on the runner, that may complicate nub cleanup.

I put the final top coat on the real grade Astray Red Frame today. Although I kept this gunpla build simple and clean, I still enjoyed making it my own with decal choices and some painted details. I also broke my first V-fin… twice.
