Played this demo & I was pleasantly surprised! Spent 5 hours on it. I’m not a F2P/gacha player, so how is this as a premium rework? While it skews easier and it has pricey DLC, this is just a really enjoyable JRPG that has nice art, music & characters. Good QoL, Japanese VO & fast battles too.

After finishing Lies of P (again), I messed around w/ Sekiro this morning, which I last played on PS4 in 2019. In some ways it feels easier to parry/deflect, since the window is larger, but not so much in others. I absolutely love its atmosphere though. One of my all-time favorite FromSoft games!

Rolled credits on Lies of P: Overture earlier today. Awesome expansion, but it's very overtuned in terms of enemy damage. Mobs & basic combos can easily one/two-shot you. By the final area, I had to drop the difficulty a notch, which felt perfect to me & consistent w/ the base game. Into NG+ I go!

I bought Lies of P's Overture DLC on launch day last year. I tried playing it, but I'd been away from the base game for almost a year & my save was in NG+3, so I wasn't having a good time. 😅 Been on an action game kick this summer, so I started fresh. Feels great to be back in Krat. #videogames

Finished & got the Stellar Blade platinum today, including the Nier Automata DLC (haven’t done the Nikke stuff yet). Like Xenoblade 2 & Wuchang, some of the outfits are ridiculous, but there are quite a few less revealing ones to choose from. Fun combat & an amazing OST. Some great sidequests too.

Next up! I don’t know much about this suit; I think I just bought it because I liked the colors and it was cheap. 😂 I picked this since when I was rearranging my backlog yesterday, I somehow snapped the security bands off the box, so I took that as a sign to knock this one out. 😊 #gunpla #plamo

Man, what a rough week. 😢 Tim Curry starred in the first game I ever worked on as a tester. It was a point & click PC adventure game & I remember loving his performance in it. He really seemed to take it seriously & made the experience entertaining. Rest in peace. Gonna fire this up in eXoWin3x.

1/2: Finished Beast of Reincarnation today! 28 hours, 26/46 trophies. Not going for the plat. I think they really nailed the combat feel, exploration's fun, the OST is excellent, and the story was engaging. Actual enemy/boss variety left me wanting though, and the slow pacing at times hurt.

Several hours in, Beast of Reincarnation’s been cool so far! There’s definitely room for some QoL & performance improvements, but the core of what’s here is good. While there are soulslike touches here & there, it definitely leans more into character action. Heavy Nier & Ghibli influences too.
