Yes, and he hasn't stopped reminding people about it since either
Happy Hashtag Day! On August 23, 2007, the first hashtag appeared on social media, an idea by Chris Messina to make it easier to search for topics.

Uh… yeah… you don't SAY my internal disk wasn't ejected…
The disk "Macintosh HD" wasn't ejected because one or more programs may be using it. You can try to eject the disk again or click Force Eject to eject it immediately.

Are we sure there's not a supply chain attack on Supabase? It seems like it's getting an update every single day now, after, I don't know, a YEAR of nothing.
• brew update ==> Updating Homebrew ... ==> Updated Homebrew from a7f3847d5f to 637bc60a16. Updated 3 taps (supabase/tap, homebrew/core and homebrew/cask). ==> New Formulae zerolang: Programming language for agents with explicit effects and predictable memory ==> New Casks executor: Tool discovery and execution layer for AI agents pgen: PostgreSQL client ==> Outdated Formulae supabase

You have 1 outdated formula installed. You can upgrade it with brew upgrade or list it with brew outdated.

Thoughts on OpenAl acquiring Astral and uv/ruff/ty. - 2026-03-19

The big news on Thursday morning: Astral to join OpenAl (on the Astral blog) and OpenAl to acquire Astral (the OpenAl announcement). Astral are the ompany behind uv, ruff, and ty. - three increasingly load-bearing open source projects in the Python ecosystem. I have thoughts!

I don't think OpenAI not worrying about ethics is especially startling. www.wired.com/story/thinking-...
OpenAI’s CEO of applications, Fidji Simo, said the hiring had been in the works for weeks. Simo also noted that she did not share Thinking Machines’ concerns over Zoph’s ethics.

The main character in this book starts 99.9999% of his sentences with "Now,", and it's starting to drive me insane.
"Now, in these high-energy-density partial penetration welds," Leo lectured into his spacesuit's audio pick-up, "the electron beam must not be allowed to achieve a penetrating steady-state. This beam can punch through half a meter of steel. Even one spiking event and your, say, nuclear pressure vessel or your propulsion chamber can lose its structural integrity. Now, the pulser that Pramod is checking right now"— Leo made his voice heavy with

I don't think "Border Patrol" actually means border patrol anymore.
Police departments and officials from Border Patrol used Flock's automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras to monitor protests hundreds of times around the country during the last year, including No Kings protests in June and October, according to data obtained by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF).

I'm very sorry, but Wilson was a volleyball, not a basketball. This is important. 😄
This is especially true because humans are so susceptible to forming relationships with *anything*, whether it's a basketball that reminds you of home, as in the 2000 movie Cast Away, or a chatbot that appears to answer your questions, as in 1966's ELIZA or today's ChatGPT.
